Best Friends

Luke and Tessa have the sweetest relationship, they truly are best friends. Luke adores his little sister and she adores him right back. Her face lights up the second she hears his voice and he loves to make her smile. He loves to "protect" her while I take a shower (which consists of giving her toys, making sure her binky is in her mouth and making her laugh.) She doesn't mind riding in the car but if she is in the back alone without her brother there to hold her hand she protests. Luke loves to play with her and give her big slobbery kisses. It makes me so happy to see these two interact and make each other happy! Love them.

California 2010

Us and our friends the Gonzalez's decided to take a trip down to Disneyland before Tessa got too old and mobile and would protest sitting in a stroller all day. We drove; which wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. On the way down and back we stayed with Barrett's grandparents, Nana and Pops. They are always so hospitable and welcoming. A huge thank you for letting us crash with you guys!

Later that afternoon we got the kids into costumes and headed to Disneyland for a Halloween Party

Super Luke and Mickey! The party was fun, we got lots of trick-or-treat candy and saw lots of fun characters. There was a special villains parade and awesome firework show.

The next day it heated up and was in the nineties the rest of the week. Luckily, Disneyland and California Adventure weren't busy at all so we pretty much walked onto every ride.

We were able to see all of the Halloween decorations and then the next day, Nov. 1st, we showed up and the Christmas decorations were up.

We had a great time and it was lots of fun. The kids did great, had a blast. Luke wants to know when he can go back. In fact; the other day he found a penny and told me he was going to put it in his piggy bank so he could save his money and go back to Disneyland! Good times and fun memories (and no one fell out a window this time!)

October Happenings

Last but not least Tessa started eating food and she loves it!

Tess also had her 4 month check up. She weighed 13 and half pound (20% percentile) and was 95% percentile in height. Just to compare, at 2 months Luke weighed 15 pounds, he was a chunker!

Love Them

These two have the sweetest relationship. Tessa adores her big brother and he adores her. Luke can make her laugh until she can hardly breathe. So cute.

When I get them out of the car, this is how I usually find them...holding hands. Luke loves to lay by her and read her books and hold her hand and talk to her and she loves the attention.

Preschool!

Luke started Preschool this week and he loves it! I can't believe that my little boy is old enough to be in preschool, crazy. He goes to Shooting Star Preschool and his teacher is Miss Mikell and he loves her. She really is great. I took him the first day and he walked in and said "hi my name is Luke" and then hugged me goodbye and off he went. He had so much fun and I think he just looks so darn cute with his backpack on. It is also kind of nice to have two hours to myself (with Tessa) twice a week:)

Tiny Tot Soccer

So Luke started soccer this past week and it was so darn cute! Talk about pure entertainment, watching a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds out on the field playing soccer.

I guess we didn't do a good job of explaining that in the game the point is to try to steal the ball from the other team. This was Luke's reaction after the black team stole the ball from him. He came over crying and said "it was my turn and they took it away." Sad, but cute. We explained that that was the point of the game.

Of course Luke's favorite part of the game was the half time and after game treat!

Tessa's Blessing

We had Tessa's blessing on August 1st and it was such a great day. Barrett did such a nice job with her blessing. He blessed her with many things, but the thing that stuck out the most was that he blessed her that she would be a peacemaker. She already is such a peacemaker. She is such a sweet, calm baby and we are so blessed to have her as a part of our family! We sure do love her.

Thanks to our friends and family who came and supported us on her special day and HUGE thank you to my sister Karen for making Tessa's blessing dress, it was perfect.
