To me, it's interesting how one child (or 5 children) can change your prospective on life. It's also interesting to me how much love can grow for such human being in such a short time.
This past week was Christmas. I enjoyed spending time with family the whole weekend. I unfortunately felt sick most of the trip, and every whiny moments with the kids only made it that much worse for me. But over all, I enjoyed the weekend. I'm completely blessed to have a wonderful husband who takes great care of me, and all 5 kids!
On to another subject..
We tend to learn from our experiences, right? Well I have to admit, fostering these beautiful children have taught me more than I expected. We all have our opinions on how things should be, whether its raising our kids, religious beliefs or even just how to dress. The one thing I first struggled with, was learning the situation with the girls mother, and fathers. Of course there is the normal feeling, anger. And the feelings of hope of adoption, so the kids could be in a better place. I've learned to keep my opinions to myself (and my really close friends lol). It's not my place to criticize or judge. After all, they ARE human, just like me. I make mistakes, just like they do. My mistakes may differ from theirs, but over all, they are all mistakes.
One thing I never expected me to feel, was love for the birth mom, and dads. I really feel for their situation, and for the fact that they may never have their children back. Seeing the love that Narissa (the oldest girl) has for her dad, and knowing that love will never go away, even after all he's done, really breaks ones heart. But she does love him (and her mom). And that, I do respect.
I read something today that really made me think. One of my distant friends seemed frustrated with another one of her friends choices. She ranted and raved about how her friend was choosing to live her life. But really, is it any of her business? I sure have ppl I could rant and rave about, but it doesn't change the fact that its their life, and how ever they want to live it, right or wrong, they get to chose the way they do it. One of God's blessings of giving us the power to have choice and accountability =)
Anyways... I should make the children get ready for bed.. yippeee...
:)

Winter Chill........
Cold air that breezes through your nostrils. Foggy mist that leaves your mouth...
Sounds so pretty, yet super annoying.
So I found this story I started on, like ages ago... I so want to continue writing it. So many ideas rushed into my head as I began reading it again. Ooooh... yaaaa.. Maybe I'll have to share it on here some time.
Anyways, its late.. my throat hurts... I want to sleep... but something is keeping me up! Stupid night time meds aren't working. And it's not like I ever take them, so my body isn't use to this stuff.. ah well.. I'll make the best of it. I got you, my precious blog.. and what readers I have, if any.
This week has been not so fun. And I have a feeling this coming week might be miserable too.
Dominic came down with a nasty high fever. I was so happy when the following day of his fever, to find it had disappeared.... Bath time was needed.. he smelled funny. Taking off his jammies, only to find red bumps everywhere was not appealing. My happiness disappeared quickly.
Maybe I could scrub the ugly red bumps off, I thought.. haha not seriously, but my wish for them to be swallowed down by the drain was somewhere in the back of my mind. Of course the fever returned later that day.. and Dominic said to me, "Mommy, you made me hot again!!!!!!" He claimed because he had a bath, his fever returned.
So off to the Dr we went. I looked online before going to the Drs, and I already had guessed it being Scarlet fever.
Good thing for meds!
For those of you who don't know what Scarlet fever is, its basically Strep throat with a high fever and a ugly rash. It could be dangerous if the fever gets high enough. And as ugly as the rash was, its nothing to be worried about.
My throat started hurting today.. ugh! I love Dominic... but next time when he's sick, I wont kiss him so much.. hahaha.
Today Destry was acting unusual. All she would do was sleep. And she did puke last night. I took her into the Drs just in case she was coming down with Strep, or worse, scarlet fever. They took the strep test, which came back negative. So now I have to wait it out and hope its just her going through a growth spurt or something not serious.
well I think the drugs I took are finally kicking in... So I shall say goodnight :)

Birthday Fun...
So yesterday was foster baby's birthday. We decided to go to Chucke E. Cheese for her birthday. More for the other kids to have fun, and for some of baby's relatives to join us. We had a pretty fun time! Baby has been learning to walk... She's stood by herself since we've had her (a month ago) and just recently she's taken steps! I feel sad that her mom wasn't able to see it, but at the same time, blessed that I was able to.
It is hard being a foster parent!!!
My wonderful husband cleaned the house today. I've been whining about it being so messy, and when I woke up with a headache, he decided to be quick and sneaky and clean. ahhhh I love a clean house! ahhhhh I love my husband. I'm so blessed =)
We took the kids to Frightmares at Lagoon Friday. Wish we could have stayed longer, but baby was fussy and it was getting cold! But they had a fun time. I love frightmares. I just love Halloween.
Well not much to say really, I guess the sleepiness is getting to me.
G'night

Tomorrow or Tomarrow? I've seen so many people write both ways. And I'm putting it to the test... I say Tomorrow! Soooooooo here we go spell check.....................
Booya! +) Still not sure which is right.. spell check for yourself :))
Scott and I have been trying to decide what we want to do over the holidays. We've made the decision that one year for Thanksgiving we'll go to Phoenix. And the next year we'll go to Phoenix for Christmas. Well... This year I'm torn. I know we went for Christmas last year, so that would make it Thanksgiving time.. BuT.. with having the girls, I think Christmas would be super fun. They've never experienced family like that near Christmas time... and there is a special spirit everyone should experience during that time. Plus we want to try to budget in DisneyLand right after Christmas... Wouldnt that be fun! (btw if we go, ANYONE is welcome to come!). SO what's my dilemma? Gabe. We wont have him for Christmas this year :( I really hate doing super fun things without him. I keep telling Scott we should just do both holidays in Phoenix this year, but I don't think our budget can handle that. Money, it sucks!
I'm so excited for Halloween. Its one of the best holidays eva! We have no plans as of now, but believe me, it willll be a fun night :)
Speaking of night, my bed is calling :) But first, time to find a random picture... (A new thing I'm excited to do :))

Scott can have fun in the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a beautiful day tomorrow!

Little black bag,,
I remember moving to Phoenix for the last time. I didn't quite think it was going to be for the last time either. Utah is my home. It always will be. When I moved to Phoenix again, back in 2005 I had every intentions of just staying there but new it would be hard. Then I got married. We lived in Phoenix for almost 4 years. In the beginning of my marriage, I constantly told Scott we should move to Utah. He would firmly say, No. He hated the Snow. After awhile slowly tapered off with the asking, and made it just a random "Hey we should move to Utah". One day Scott tells me he applied for a job, and it was in Utah. I was surely surprised. Then they called for an interview. And then wanted another interview. This seemed so surreal to me. I asked him why all of a sudden he changed his mind. He had told me he felt it was what we needed to do. So I just went with it!
Sure enough, we moved. He found a great job, a great house, and great neighbors. Life was turning out the way we wanted. Don't get me wrong, we had many trials along the way so it wasn't as easy as it sounds.
Before we moved, Scott and I talked about doing foster care. This was something Scott seemed very persistent on. I was perfectly fine with the idea as well. I've dealt with foster children before, and I have always felt the wanting to help foster kids. Our intentions were to foster kids who were already legally free so we could eventually adopt.
We started our process for fostering in March. This process takes about 2 1/2-3 months before you can get kids in the home. Well 7 months later we finally got kids. This process seemed to have taken forever. Things kept prolonging us. We didn't really know why either, until 3 beautiful girls came into our home.
Now we are sure that these girls were the reason for everything. The reason for moving, the reason for our fostering being prolonged. The reason for our many trials we've had in the past year and a half.
The Lord works in mysterious ways.
We've just learned that they are going to start the process of terminating reunification with the mom. Reunification with the fathers have already been terminated.
Now this is in the WAY beginning of things, and it really doesn't mean much. But what it could mean is, Adoption is the answer. I don't like getting my hopes up, and actually I'm not. I do know that if the Lord wants it to happen that way, then the Lord will make it happen.
This experience has just enhanced my testimony in such great measures I cant even begin to explain. And I am truly grateful for everything Scott and I have. Our family is beautiful.
Now for me breaking my own rules.... Here be a picture :)

While I type all of this, I sit here and randomly stare and this little black bag. Its almost calling my name. It wants me to open it. But nah, maybe another day :)

My Day..
6:30 a.m. The sun is still sleeping, I am not.
Showering is the thing to do.... Must shower fast... 7 comes quick.
6:50 a.m. Ringing of the door bell... My neighbor kids have arrived :)
7 a.m. Everyone else must awaken.. or this day will not be pretty.
Get baby dressed, get toddler dressed, put food on the table for all 7 kids.
Do hair for the 3 girls
7:50 a.m. Load em all in the car.. (Except Gabe).
Drop off first child at one school
Drop off 2 more children at another school
Rush home to make sure Gabe is doing his school.
8:35 a.m clean up breakfast. Clean up random children messes (there be plenty-o) Hmm maybe I shouldn't clean up random children messes, more to come.
10:00 a.m. Is it nap time yet? No? Drats!
Feed mid morning snack to youngsters
10:45 a.m. .. NAP! YAY! We love this part of the day.
11:00 a.m. check on Gabe, answer questions for school, give him a break while I run to pick up from school.
11:15 a.m. Pick up 1 of the 3 children from school.
11:45 a.m. Prepare lunch. Mmm I seemed to have forgotten to eat breakfast.. lunch is looking good.
12:00 p.m. Eat with kids.
12:30 p.m. Is it really only 12:30?
Must doing School with Gabe...
1 ish... (depending on when kids wake up)
Force Gabe to continue to do school... (cant really force though)
I think I need to end here...
To Be Continued.. If I remember..:)

Nervous Break Down...
Not me! My poor boy Gabe.
Parenting can sure be tough. It's hard when you have to lay down the law... and its even harder to watch your child get upset for not liking what's been laid. Ah ... I'm guessing its good to scream once in awhile, just to let it out.. I hope he felt better. But I'm sure glad thats over and done with!
I need an appointment calendar. All these appointments I'm making. I hope I don't forget something important ;)
So today we got some rain. Not just any rain.... It was a down pour! The wind gushed, slamming against the trees. The drops of water were pleasantly thick and powerful. The kids seemed like they've never seen anything like it before. I got a great picture of them all being wild outside as they were getting wet.
I love the rain.
I love the lightning more.
Well I also love sleep :)

Stay awake!!! That's an order!
Do you ever feel like super MoM? Man.. I don't. today was so busy, I should have felt slightly super mom material. But I don't.
We finally met the mom today. It was short and sweet. Many things rushed quickly through my brain. In fact they were so rushed, I don't remember a thing I thought about! Odd?
I'm tired.
I think I'll go to sleep =)

The sun will come out...
Tomorrow! .... well it was out today too :)
Things have been going pretty good here at the Baggiores =) We've been enjoying these wonderful blessings. There have been rip your hair out moments, but nothing we cant truly handle!!
I've chosen not to use names for privacy reasons... But perhaps someday I will throw those reasons out the window. Speaking of privacy reasons, I've chosen also not to add pictures. I'd have to block my blog if I did that, and I'm not sure I want to do that either.
Anyhow.. Today was a wonderful day. We met with Grandma (the girls grandma). She is such a sweet lady. I enjoyed watching the girls give her hugs and kisses and letting them stay connected. It's important for them! Especially the oldest one, who has a good relationship with her already. She seems to think that this case might be an adoption case... I really don't want to get my hopes up yet though. It's only been 11days, but if it did come to that, I think we'd take up the opportunity in a heart beat.
Gabe and Dominic have soccer games tomorrow. I LOVE watching their games. Next week is their last game until April.. Cant wait for April!!!!!!!!!!!
Gabe has been getting really good with soccer. Dominic too.. Just Dominic doesn't quite kick the ball and run at the same time .. its rather cute. He always tells me the other team runs faster then him.. hehe.
Mr Aroastia is still alive! I always wonder if tomorrow he wont be. He is a picky eater, so it seems. But I think if he hadn't eaten anything since we got him, he'd be dead.. IDK. He is such a cute Toad =)
Well I should be off to bed... I am tired! Kids make me tired.. its a good thing, I sleep much better!

Day 6............
was a great day!!!!!!!!!
So it's been a good 6 days so far. I think the girls are opening up to shine with their own true personalities. For me, I'd have to say the 2 year old is the hardest. But with that said, she has really good, easy moments too. I'd say she's a typical 2 year old, with a slight enhancement of temper tantrums. But she is learning that I wont allow her to get away with anything she wants. It took her a few days to actually hug me on her own, but I find it now when she's upset, she wants me the most. Today I noticed her calling me mom. Now most people might find this heart warming (and a part of me does) but at the same time I worry about what her mom will think if she hears her say that to me. I'm almost positive she called me that because she hears my boys call me mom. And no one else in the house besides Scott calls me Jill.
The oldest is a princess. I like when I tell her no, and she utters, "oh man" and she leaves it at that. I do know this is still the early stages, and this oh man might change into something horrific lol. But I'm still just running with it. She seems to really like Strawberry milk. She asks for it several times a day. I've made a deal with her, which is if she drinks water in between, she can have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Little did I realize, she's not home for lunch most days. Ah well... maybe she wont realize.. ;)
Now.. that leaves the baby.... the sweet little baby. She is just so adorable. I love it when she sleeps through the night :))))) This I think half the time we've had them, she has successfully slept all night.
Scott, the wonderful husband he is, has been a big help with all of them. He understands how busy I am during the day, so he trys really hard to give me My time.
Over the weekends, we've always had this standard rule, Scott gets up with any kids that decides to wake up during sleeping beauty time. Makes sense right? I do it the days he has to work. He's never complained about this rule (I'm guessing it was a rule we both suggested when it started.. ) Well Baby woke up Tuesday night (my night) and Thursday night (My night again). And of course Friday night (Scotts night) she sleeps soundly through the night!!!! Of course eh! Unfortunately Scott wasn't lucky Saturday night.. She woke up more times then any other night.. I guess it made up for Friday night.
Sooo... I have a beautiful household of people. It may be very busy for me, and extremely loud at times, but I'm soaking in all this experience. And it truly has been fun. I hope I can say that down the road :)
Well I should get myself to sleep.. busy day tomorrow!

Someone elses little angels...
Well the day finally came when we got that call... the call that would change our life's in a big way. 3 beautiful girls needed a place to stay.
When I first received the call, I was very excited. Then reminder of the DCFS lady haunted my mind, "I encourage you to say no if it feels wrong and don't feel like you have to say yes to the very first call."
But it was girls!! Me having only boy's, loves the idea of having girls in the house. As of yesterday I was the only girl here. Now us girls over power the boys! MOUAHAHAHAHA. :)
We picked them up late afternoon. Everything was peachy keen. Then... Bed time arrived. This was where I had to question if I was up to this. The worst part of it all, it was I who didn't sleep much. The kids all slept pretty good.. Baby woke up once and the 2 year old took some time actually going to bed.. but other than that it was a nice night.
The cutest part of last night was the sweet 2 year old wanted to snuggle with Scott. She ended up falling asleep in his lap. I think she really likes Scott, even more so then she likes me! She's already given him a hug.. thats one up on me.
My Boys are enjoying the girls. I'm not looking forward for the honeymoon stage to disappear and they act more like siblings then fun new friends. Gabe has been so helpful with the baby. I think he really likes babies. He was playing with her while I tried to finish up my laundry.. and I even caught him trying to hold her just out of the blue. =)
The oldest is a sweetheart. She's very polite and seems to be a happy girl. Seems as if she's taking the change of atmosphere easy.. Hopefully this is the case and she's not putting up an act.
I know this is just the beginning and I'm sure it might get a bit stressful in the up coming future, so I best enjoy it as much as I can now.
I am grateful for this opportunity to help these sweet little angels :)

Rubbing eyes...
I should be sleeping peacefully right now, but that's difficult to come by.
So, I was wondering.... Are you an obsessive wall wiper? I'll sure admit I'm not! I'll wipe down the fridge, the ovens, dishwasher, windows, ect.. but walls?? Hmm it never occurred to me I guess. I don't know why either. I just never paid attention to my boring walls. Or maybe it was just because the dirty part of my walls were only about 37 inches up from the floor (Yes, Dominic height). From now on, I'll be a wall wiper!
We were expecting our final visit from the foster care people (DCFS). And I was cleaning a good part of the day. As for foster care, we're possibly getting calls for placements by Tuesday. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Will we be good foster parents?? I sure hope so!
There really isn't much I have to jabber about tonight. Although yesterday I could have jabbered a lot. Ahhhhh the glorious memory... short term that is!
Goodnight :)

Party time...
How to be a good host...
First you invite really spectacular people...
You make sure you have a wonderful attitude...
Make sure you greet each and every guest that comes in your door...***
At least act like you like everyone...
Throw in some random wacky games...
Have a good time!
Extra Tip.... Expensive parties don't always impress people. Go cheap.. heck even make it a pot luck party.. good friends like to pitch in sometimes!

The Fly!!!!!!!!
I've been enjoying my new pet, Aroastia the toad! Never in a million years did I think I'd be dishing up bugs for a toad. The part that gets me the most, Scott helps!
We first bought him some Crickets. I don't think he did too fabulous with the crickets. Maybe he ate one, but I'm not sure. SO we had to figure out something else! After studying about toads, and what they eat, I've come to discover they eat anything bug related.
Light bulb popped in my head.... FLIES! Like the movies, frogs are always lashing their gooey tongue up into the air for tasty flies. Now, how to catch one? Didn't seem too hard, right? I guess Scott and I found a brilliant fly, for a fly that is, Because we chased that sucker around for what seemed to be an hour or so. No success!
Thinking about it now, it must have looked hilarious with Scott and I holding a container running around the kitchen. The battle between the fly and us was suddenly lost, when the fly found its escape out the window. GRR. It was personal after the first 10 minutes of trying to catch it and my personal problem had to crumble into pieces after it flew out of the crack of the window.
Scott and I then stood out on the porch. I noticed other flies roaming the air around me. "Keep the screen door open Scott!" I said quietly. A fly could come back into our house, and we can try again! Scott of course thought that was rubbish. But after one flew in, and we caught it (A lot easier than the big buster who got away), we rejoiced with excitement (or at least -I- did).
I shook the fly into Aroastia's cage and whispered, "Bon appetit" and on my way I went. I came back 10 minutes later to check on the fly, and he was gone!!!!!! Now, Mr Aroastia was buried in his dirt somewhere, just like he was when I put the fly in. So of course I had to wonder, Did the fly escape my cage??????? After all, there were little holes that looked to be smaller then the fly, but was he tricky enough to get out???
Oh man, I was confused. I had to know which it was. Did he gobble the fly up quickly and return buried?
On to the kitchen to catch another fly I went! The curiosity was killing me!
It was dramatically easier catching flies now that we let the beast fly escape. So on to flies for dinner for toad man. I've given him 3 flies now. One escaped by my error of opening the top, one disappeared (hopefully eaten), and one is still flying in there as I type.
Scott found some potato bugs in the dirt outside and poured them into the cage. So we have potato bugs, and a fly for Aroastia. I hope he is eating!
Other news from the Baggiore home, poor Dominic is sick :( We went out yesterday morning with both boys to their soccer game, then Dominic had a fabulous time at a car show and later in the late afternoon, Dominic felt warm, and seemed to be exhausted. I thought maybe too much sun, and running around for the day. But come bedtime, when he had already fallen asleep, I felt his head and he was HoT!. He woke up not long after, fussy and warm. I gave him children's Tylenol and he went back to sleep. Of course he woke up a few times during the night. One of the times he woke up, he started crying. Both Scott and I were there to try to comfort him. When he finally settled down he said, "Dad, do you know why I was crying?" We both asked why. He says to us, "Because Gabe isn't here". What a sweet little boy.. wanting his bigger brother! Gabe was at his other dads house.
Well there is my adventure for the weekend.. and now some cute Photos =)

Labor Day
This weekend was awesome :) We headed down south, to visit family. I have to say it's nice going to Phoenix! I also get to remember why I enjoy Utah weather. I do miss family every day, but going to visit gives us that little extra excitement, and something we look forward to.
I had the chance to go look through some of my Grandpa's stuff. I found some old pictures of him when he was young. Behind each picture, I imagined a story. Unfortunately I don't have my grandpa around to tell me his stories, so pictures with my own imagination will have to do! I am grateful I get to see these pictures.
I also found some slides, which had some photo's of my siblings and I. I want to have a family get-together so we can all share these moments together.
While relaxing at my in-law's house, My adorable little Nephew Hayden came over to tell Tawnya he saw a frog in the pool. We went outside to see this mystical froggy.. which ended up being a Toad. Remembering my childhood, and how we use to catch frogs, made me want the little creature. So we took him home with us. Dominic named him Aroastia.. I have NO idea where he came up with that name...but it stuck! We here we are, home with Aroastia still alive. We do have that fear of him dying since he was swimming in chlorine.
Well I should be in bed... long day tomorrow!

School school school....
I don't know why I wait so long to update my blog.. Still, I need to work on that.
Gabe started School today. We've been prepping him for the past few weeks though. I'm doing Connections Academy again (a virtual school). I'm excited to get the year going!!! And hoping I'll see much improvement from when he was in the regular school.
The other day, Dominic was playing with his friend Hadlee (who lives next door). Some how, she found scissors.. and some how, the scissors found Dominics hair. Oh man.. I had to keep telling myself, its only hair, its only hair. Sweet Hadlee ended up cutting her own hair too.. but her haircut turned out really cute *after it being fixed. I ended up buzzing Dominic's hair off. And as I buzzed away, Gabriel decided he wanted a short haircut too. I try to let him make his own choice with his hair, so I allowed him to get a buzz too. My friend Kris ended up doing Gabe's hair.. she did a good job.
This summer has been really great!!! Aside going to New Zealand, we did a lot of family camping. I love camping, but will admit, I've had my fill for the year. Our last camping trip we went with my siblings... well all of them but 1. It was a good work out for me.. and since I've been changing my life style with fitness, this camping trip was the best one! My neighbor got me a month pass to her boot-camp. It's been very refreshing. Enjoying the sore mussels and the out of breath feeling. I sure cant wait until that part goes away!!!!
This coming weekend is Labor day weekend. We are heading down to Phoenix for my awesome and amazing sister in law! =) we're very excited. I'm not excited to be in 107 degree weather though... But Tata is worth it.
Well since I have this terrible cold, that is winning right now, I need to go to sleep... bah!

in question
I don't know why, but I feel like just typing. As random as it may be, it's my mood.
Have you ever wondered what life would be like if we didn't have so much emotion put into our society? Seriously! We'd all be so much happier in life. Of course I think there needs to be emotion to enjoy the good aspects. I know maturity is something we have to grow into, and some never even reach that.
We learn (especially us women) to be emotional about everything! Women are some of the most vindictive, evil creatures around. And most men, are SO blind they will NEVER see it!
I was watching My Best Friends Wedding yesterday.. and thought about how Julia Roberts came clean at the end.. Hahah ya .. not many women would actually admit to doing all the things she did. And its very rare for their friendships to continue on.
Now being a woman, and saying this stuff, doesn't mean -I'm- like this, right!? RIGHT! LOL. I find it hard for some of you to believe that. But I will at least admit that one point in my life, I probably was somewhat vindictive, jealous, plotting to dye someones hair blue.. (no not really). I did things in my past that I have learned from. And I have honestly grown up from many experiences in my life. Some things even just in these past few years.
Any person who will deny having some of these issues has serious issues!
I think I mainly speak out about this due to my husbands step daughters. I know he considers them daughters (with the step taken out) and he is a better person then I am. But in my eyes, their behaviors definitely title them STEP! (sorry love, its just how I feel.. my own personal opinion). One day, I am truly hoping they will clear their brains and realize the reality of life. And especially what family is, and means. It bothers me that the older of the two has no acceptance to our family. Especially after all my husband has done to fight for her to be apart of his life. She can be very upset with me for saying that, and taking 100% of it out of context.
Only a true mature person can realize their mistakes and behaviors, and truly want to fix them.
In a perfect world, She would come to me and apologize for her crude behavior towards me, as I would to her (Not that I was that crude to her, but she feels that way so I would definitely apologize.. anything to make our family happy). She would realize that family is precious, and spending every moment making things work together, is a great gift from God. No grudges should be kept, or even brought into our life. (Remember, this is a perfect world I'm talking about now).
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone does things, says things, behaves wrong, ect.. Its learning to correct those ways to become a better person, is the goal we should have. I know everyone knows this, but for some reason, everyone also tends to forget it very quickly when situations come into their life.
I hear many people bashing on one another because of stupid .. i mean stupid reasons. I still do this day 'vent' about my issues with people.. but I do try to be careful of down grading a person. One of the biggest problems today is other people listening to their friend (or whoever) talk about problems with another person, and this friend starts to judge. We should never judge one on someone Else's problem. Besides the point, only half the story is always told.
Well I have to go................. must head off to my wonderful son's school =)

snow snow.. go away!
The snow should really stop coming now...!! Its great, for a day!
So my results are in... my WBC is back to normal. The doctor doesn't want to take chances, so he wants me to do another count in April, just to make sure they don't rise again.
What they found out, I have some kind of tissue attacking disease (it attacks my tissues).... He doesn't know which disease it is, and said he can run more tests and probably would have to refer me to a specialist. But I think I'm going to lay low from the doctors for awhile... I'm tired of going to that place!!!
I so grateful for everyone who's been a great support and GREAT friend to me! Even though this turned out to be nothing too serious, its so nice to know the love that surrounds you =)
Well this is going to be a short post, my bed is calling me!!

A few Bumps in the road.
I decided to finally write about this. I think I was hesitant because I was afraid of bad news. But having that feeling its not so bad anymore, makes it easier to write about:)
About a month ago, I went into the drs. Simply for a back pain. I mentioned this annoying thing my fingers do when they get cold (they turn white) and so my dr insisted on doing some blood work. A few hours after blood work, they call me. "Rachel, your white blood cells seem kind of high, do you have any symptoms of a bladder infection?" The nurse asked. "Why no, I feel fine in that respect." I replied. Now I didn't know much about WBC and what it meant to be high. So I did a little research. Isn't the Internet great! Usually it means you have an infection of some sort. So that is what the good ol'Dr was going to try to figure out. I went back a week later and had blood drawn to see what my count was... and of course, it doubled in a week. So we did some more testing to eliminate common bacterial infections. My doctor was puzzled. Couldn't find anything. So his biggest worry now, Leukemia. So more blood work, yay. My arms.. my poor bruised arms... (I can whine about something, right?) Well a few days ago he calls and tells me, thankfully its not leukemia! Which I'm very happy and relieved. I was a bit on the edge for a while though.. Scary thoughts flashed through my head.
So now, he gave me a really strong antibiotic, and will test again in a few weeks to see where my WBC is. Don't know why he didn't do this before the Leukemia scare.. lol. But hey, if it solves the problem, I'm great with that.
Oh, the cold white finger problem, I have Raynauds disease. Which isn't anything serious.. I just have to keep my fingers warm, or I will get white fingers..lol.
My back pain, they are thinking its a disc. I've been doing physical therapy, so hopefully that will work :)
I hate getting older LOL.
Oh, I had some moles removed, which were all ok -)
Well I will keep this thing updated =)

New Year! Foster Care!
So Scott and I are doing our Foster Care thing. We've been taking these foster care classes and even though I've taken them before, I'm learning so much! Not just about foster care, but about parenting. There are some pretty cool things that make total sense in how kids should be dealt with, and I agree with almost everything they've taught. I love the classes. WELL.. let me rephrase that, I hate some of the stuff thats being taught, simply because it is heart breaking. But it is really good to see the stuff that really goes on with these kids. I love our teacher too, he's pretty funny!
Last night they were talking about discipline. They obviously have a different view of disciplining foster care kids verses your own kids. And since these kids come from either violent or drug abused homes (most cases that is), you have to be very gentle when you discipline.
Our teacher was telling us about this family who decided to do foster care. This couple went faithfully to a family get together every Sunday (just like what we use to do in Phoenix with Scotts family). And they approached their family one Sunday, telling them about the idea of foster care. Well their family shrugged it off until one day the couple told them they had started taking classes, and they were very serious on getting kids. The extended family finally confessed to the couple that if they had foster kids, they wouldn't be welcome to come to dinner on Sundays anymore with those kids. How heart breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully this coupled decided to go ahead with foster care, even if that meant losing Sunday dinner with their families. How awesome is that? I mean for someone to stand up for what they believe in. And shame on their family for dis including them for them making a huge effort to make some childs life better!
These kids are our future, and if we don't give them a chance to help them figure out good in their life, then we will be seeing it 10, 15, 20 years down the road when someone you loved was shot by someone wanting money for a fix. We get that enough now, but we can do our best in changing the few kids we open our hearts to.
I know, I'm ranting and raving about this. I don't even know why!! But I'm nervous, and excited for this opportunity. And I hope my family can truly help another kid, or kids!
Moving on.........................
Gabe has decided to give up on donating his hair to locks for love. I'm still proud of him.. and even though he's so close to having his hair long enough, he tried so hard! It's just getting too much for him.. and I think the kids at school might tease him a little.. soooooo as a mother who wants his kid happy, we are chopping it off soon! I'll post before and after pictures. He did tell me today in the car "Mom can I try it again when I'm a little older?" lol... silly boy! he's so cute.
Dominic is loving having a friend to play with every day. Yesterday he took Sidney upstairs to play "school". It was super hilarious! He comes down stairs and says, "Mommy we are done with School today, and we both passed our classes!" lol passed his class????? I asked him what class...and he said his lunch box filled with car class. Hahaha. He has no idea.. poor kid!
Well thats it for now..
:)
