Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! This year for Halloween I took Maleaha to the mall to go trick or treating with her boyfriend Ryder and Kasey. I didn't get a picture of the two cuties together because my camera was dead! Then we waited for Jared to get home and went to his parents to see all the kids dressed up! We were going to go up and see my sister and her kids but Maleaha wasn't being the best and we needed to get something to eat so some of Jared's family came with us to eat and that was about all our Halloween consisted of! I had fun dressing Maleaha up and taking her out! I can't wait until next year when she can walk it will be fun! Here are some pictures! (Oh I was a kitty cat and Jared was Berny Madoff)

8 Months

Oh my goodness I can't believe my baby is 8 months old. She is so smart and thinks she can do just about anything! She is now a crawler and has mastered pulling herself up from the floor to a standing position and is walking along the couch to the entertainment center. She is now getting into EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING! She is always looking for something new to do and it seems like she always wants to be on the go!

Go Aggies!

A couple of weeks ago it was homecoming week for Utah State, so we woke up early met my Mom and Daion at the parade. Then later that night we all went to the AG BBQ I think that is what it was called, and then went to the football game. It was fun to take Maleaha to her first football game and she was such a good girl!

Up to Trouble

When I went to go get Maleaha from her nap the other day I walked in and saw her doing this....

I do not look forward to the day where she is daring and does acrobatic moves to get out of her crib. for now, she hasn't pulled herself up to stand but enjoys being on her knees and knawing on her crib leaving some nice teeth marks...(at least they are on the inside so you can't see all the scratches)!

7 Months

I am so behind in blogging so starting with Maleaha turning 7 months old is absolutely crazy to me. She is getting so fun to just watch her learn new things some of the new stuff she has accomplished this month are, She can pick food up with her fingers and actually get the food in her mouth, she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth, she can pull herself up on her knees in her crib and holding on to the couch. She still has only two teeth but I think just maybe more are on their way. She is so happy all the time and is starting to try and clap when she gets excited or when I start singing pat a cake to her! Obviously she loves eating, and she isn't picky at all about foods which I am so happy about I hope it stays that way because I am about as picky as they get! She loves anything with Mangos in it and Applesauche There is your update on Miss Maleaha, and here she is with her bear!

6 months

Maleaha is half of a year already! I always say it but time is flying. I get so sad when I have to start putting away clothes because she is growing out of them. I want her to be tiny forever! But she is doing so many fun things now. She loves to be on her tummy scooting in circles on the floor. She gets her bum up in the air and has scooted backwards but that's as close as she has gotten to crawling, but that is ok with me! She has gotten her first tooth as well on the bottom. It is getting pretty big and is super sharp! She is usually pretty happy and loves to jump in her jumper. She is starting to use sounds in her babbaling she is stuck on D which makes it seem like she is saying Da Da all the time which I like to pretend she knows what she is saying. She is getting so big and to prove it here are her results from her doctors visit.

5 Months

Maleaha at 5 months She is getting way too big way too fast!

She was sick when I took the picture and wasn't very happy, so this was the best one we got. I love this girl to pieces. She is so funny and is always amazing me! I can't wait to see who she becomes! She is such a special girl!

Maleaha's Special Day!

On July 24th Maleaha had her special day. Maleaha was blessed by my Dad on Sunday and it was such a great day. Also in the circle was her Grandpa Mora, Uncle Ryan and Bishop Anderson. I was so happy that we finally got her blessed and that my whole family could be here for her special day. Jared was a little bummed that he wasn't able to participate because he never went to church when he was younger and never got the priesthood. We have been talking about starting to go back to church more and have finally been to our ward that we were supposed to be in for 2 years!

Solids

Maleaha has had her first shot at solids this week! She seems to get better each day with eating it! I usually give her the rice cereal in the morning and at night? I am not sure how often I should or shouldn't be doing cereal, so moms out there with any advice let me know! I am so excited to start giving her vegies and fruits to see what she likes and doesn't like! I have tried some apple juice she is still getting used to that too! I keep telling myself that I want to make her baby food because everyone says it is so easy and so much cheaper so hopefully before next week I can figure out how to do it and try it out! Maleaha Gets her Ears Pierced

On the 4th of July while we were at the mall we decided that it was finally time to get Miss Maleaha's ears pierced. Here are some pictures of her getting them pierced!

4th of July

So here in Logan they never do the actuall fireworks on the 4th of July, I think its always the Friday before the fourth anyways so on Friday the 1st we went to Logans Freedom of Fire Celebration at the Stadium. It was supposed to be alot better this year, then years past so we decided we would go inside and see. My Mom got us researved seating which was nice because we didn't show up until almost 8 and still had a seat and we weren't staring into the sun all night. I was nervous of how Maleaha would be because she had just got all her shots that morning and I was hoping she wouldn't be too onry. All in all she did pretty good she slept through alot of it probably due to the medicine but I couldn't have asked for a better baby. She slept through the band and entertainment and then woke up just in time for the fireworks. I thought she was going to scream and be scared but she didn't mind them one bit. She just sat on my lap and watched the whole time. The fireworks were awesome and of course when I got my camera out to take some pictures it was dead so I don't have anything from that night but it was fun to be with family and watch some fireworks!

So on the 4th Jared and my Dad had an early morning tee time so my Mom, Maleaha, Tasia, Daion and I went out to Leweston to watch the parade. It was fun to take Maleaha who knows if she even really paid attention but I love seeing the big horses and don't mind getting a few tootsie rolls either! After going to the parade I met Jared back at home and then met up with his family at the mall and did some shopping then went back to his sisters for some food! Then after we went up to my parents and had some more food and played games. We were party poopers and didn't go out to Leweston for the fireworks, Jared had to work in the morning and I was so tired that we just went home and listened to everyone else light fireworks until 1130 and then finally got some sleep! It was fun to celebrate the 4th with both families! Here are some pictures of us at the parade!

4 Months

I can't believe that Maleaha is 4 months old already! She is getting so big so fast I don't realize how big she is actually getting until I look through pictures or see someone else holding here, especially all her little cousins! Maleaha went to the doctor on Friday and her stats are

Height: 26 in. 97%

Head: 41 cm. 47%

She is getting more fun as the days go on. She is usually a happy baby but as you know from my previous post, she has her days. She is starting to enjoy tummy time more and loves to be outside. She has started to realize she has hands and her two fingers are always in her mouth. She has started playing with her feet when she is sitting up and can sit up on her own for a few seconds. She is babbaling alot more and its fun to listen and watch her figure new things out. She is such a sweat girl and I love watching her personality grow everyday! Here is her 4 month picture!

Can I do this?

That was my thought pretty much all afternoon on Saturday. I am going to share my first to me embarrassing moment being a Mom. I have never felt this way but when this moment happened to me for the first time all I could think of was; What is everyone thinking of me? and that I didn't know how to take care of a crying baby.

So here it is. On Saturday my cousin Brittney had a wedding shower. My Mom, Bree, Maleaha and I all went to her shower. On the way there Maleaha decided she wasn't happy and literally scrame half the way to Malad (a good half hour)! I knew she was just tired and figured she would fall asleep on the way so I didn't pack any formula (never doing that again!) I knew my mom and sister were probably so sick of hering Miss Maleaha scream her guts out and was glad when she finally fell asleep. but when we got there she decided to wake up. she was pretty content for the first little while that we were at the shower. An hour or so later Maleaha decided to be a little stinker again and started fussing so I went inside to feed her, I knew she was a little uncomfortable because we were both sitting there sweating like pigs!! (my poor grandpa must freeze or something they said he had the heater on earlier that morning) When I get done feeding the girl she wouldn't fall asleep so I took her back outside hoping she would enjoy the fresh air. Boy was I wrong I gave her to my Aunt Jan to hold and she did not like that Idea. From then until we left and another half of the ride home Maleaha just cried and cried. I felt so awful. I couldn't do anything to calm her down and felt so helpless. She has never really been like that and I was so frustrated myself I don't think that helped her at all. I was so embarrased because I felt like I had ruiend the shower and I am sure people were wondering if I even knew what I was doing. I even started crying and just sat in a chair while other family members tried to calm Maleaha down. I don't know why but I just felt like a terrible mother and was so embarrased. My family and my cute cousin Brittney reassured me that it was ok and they didn't mind, but I am sure they were so happy to get rid of us when we left. I know that babies are the boss and they cry and do what they please, it just was my first experience feeling so overwhelmed and not being somewhere I was comfortable with. I hope one day I will read back on this memory and laugh about how dramatic I am being about it and when something even more embarrassing happens I will realize this was not that big of a deal BUT for now I am still embarrased and hoping that I can handle being a Mom in stressfull situations that I am put in.

3 Months

I know Maleaha is already 4 months but I am going to waite and do her updates after she goes to the doctor on Friday. So here is her picture at three months, and some others I thought I would share!

Jareds Graduation & New Job!

Maleaha and I are so proud of our Jared! He is now a college grad and couldn't be more happy! I am so proud of him and all that he does for Maleaha and me. He is such a great Dad and Husband I couldn't ask for anyone better! On graduation day we spent most of our time with family celebrating! We wanted to do a big party for him but it never came together so we just had lunch with his family and went to dinner with my parents and Daion! Here are some pictures of Jareds big day!

We are so happy that all of Jareds work paid off and he finally found a great job! He is working in Ogden at a company called JD Clark & CO. He started Monday and I could tell when he got home that he was really excited about his new job. He tells me all the cool stuff he has like his own direct line, his own desk, his ID card, its all pretty cool compaired to working at Wally World! He is doing the fund accounting for the company and works with a team of people. He said they were taking him to luch today to get to know him better, he seems to like his team and I am excited for him to get started with this company!
