The last month in a nutshell...

The last month has been crazy for us...oh wait, everyday is crazy for us! In just the last few weeks we...blessed Cade, I had a brother leave on a mission and of course..the holidays! Sorry for all the pictures but how do you just post a few?


I LOVE LOVE this beanie on Cade! It was supposed to go in his stocking but we couldn't wait that long...he has been wearing it all winter now!!


Every Christmas Eve we start our night out at the Bateman's for dinner and fun. This year we started a new tradition and decorated gingerbread houses! It was great fun..can't you tell by the look of Brocks hands...bless his heart!

Zoo Lights...

Last night I told Brock that I wanted to either go to Temple Square or Zoo Lights before there is snow on ground and it is too bitterly cold to take our baby outside. So we decided that we would go to zoo lights...and it was a good choice. It was so much fun and not too cold. If you are looking for some good lights...I would recommend it! I can't wait for next year so that Cade will actually enjoy them and the animals.

Our Sweet Baby...

I know that I am totally lame at getting some pictures of my sweet baby on the blog! Our old Internet was HORRIBLE so I canceled it and got the good stuff so now we will try and keep everyone more updated. There are going to be alot of pics...sorry about that but I have to share. So here are the details....our sweet little boy Cade was born on October 6th! I can't believe that he is almost 2 MONTHS old...CRAZY...where does time go? Anyway, he weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. Getting him here was not horrible or easy for that matter...we are just so happy that he is here. He is FANTASTIC baby! I couldn't ask for better. He is an EXCELLENT sleeper and loves to be loved on. I hope everyone is doing good and I hope you enjoy the pics of my sweet babe! The first three are of him in the night he was born and the last three are taken since he has been home!

Finally...AN UPDATE!

So I am getting internet at my house tomorrow...that means that I can FINALLY update our blog...STAY TUNED....I AM SO EXCITED!!

My sister-in-law works up at the University of Utah hospital and she let us come up for a 3-D ultrasound of our baby! It was so COOL! To be able to see so much was amazing. He was really close to my placenta so some of the pictures were hard to see but we still got some good ones.

This one is just a normal 2-D ultrasound...it lets you see how close he really was to my placenta.

And here we have the 3-D picture...isn't it amazing what you can see. Ya, I am pretty sure that it is a good thing that I am giving birth to this child because he looks EXACTLY like his daddy...I think its the nose and the way he holds his lips!!

Thanks Nin for letting us come up to see our cute baby...it was so much fun and so exciting.

More MEXICO...

So I just got this package from my Auntie last night and I couldn't wait to post some more pictures of Mexico! Oh how I miss that place!

Much needed UPDATE...

BEWARE of a lot of pictures!! I tried to do a slide show but it was giving me such grief so you will just have to scroll through them all. This is our wonderful trip to Mexico...ya I know that I have been home for like 3 weeks, but better late then never. I going to do my best to explain all the pictures!

These were our AWESOME cars! They were the biggest beaters...oh and we beat them! We had a total of 5 or 6 and everywhere we went we would jump them and race them. They were so much fun!

Brock pretty much drove us everywhere...so funny!

We stayed in Cancun one night, this was right in front of our hotel! It was nice but didn't even touch our great house on Cozumel Island!


A big shout out to my Granny for making this all possible! She is the BEST! Mexico was like one great family reunion. Sorry again for all the pictures, but I hope you enjoy them!

Bitter...Sweet??

So as I sit here at my desk with tears in my eyes...trying to hold them back with all my might, I just wonder...why is this so hard? My little brother left for his mission yesterday and I am still filled with emotion over the whole thing. I asked my mom how she did it? I don't even have my son here yet and I am totally stressing over the thoughts having him leaving. I know it is something that is taught and I couldn't imagine a better place for him to be but it is still hard. I have ALWAYS been really close to my brothers so for them to leave...lets just say its not an easy thing on Arin. None-the-less I am so proud of him and his decision, I know he will move mountains...he totally has the heart to do so! Chile is lucky have a such a great person coming their way!
