Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

We went to our family's first (and last of this season) Braves game this past Saturday. Oh man, what a great time! The boys exceeded our expectations and actually were very involved with the game's activities. Despite getting creamed the night before by the Mets, the Braves won the game with the only run scored. This afternoon game even concluded with a Coca-Cola Summer Concert featuring Styx. America's favorite pastime with the boys and a free classic rock concert. Sa-weet!

Gavin loved finding the players' pictures based on their jersey number projected on the jumbo-tron. He would then proceed to 'read' the information about them.

No baseball game is complete without a hotdog. Here was Sean's masterpiece.

The boys and I split one, but I have to admit my annual hotdog was pretty tasty. Maybe next time I will not share.

Logan even enjoyed his dinner, and I daresay it might even be his first hotdog.

Logan was not accustomed to all the noise from the crowd in the beginning which caused flashbacks of Gavin's first BYU basketball game. Except Gavin never stopped screaming and everyone thought my child was dying. Here Logan warmed up after an inning or two and learned to love the game.

Logan even happily learned the tomahawk chop!

Gavin could not believe there was a Chick-a-Fila cow on top of the stadium (to the left of Delta). 'That's so silly, Mom."

Gavin's self portrait during the game.

Here is a shot at the start of the concert. Once the game was over, you could move around freely so we found some friends from PTC to rock out with.

Gavin and Logan's first (classic) rock concert. Will they even know who Styx is when they grow up? Maybe with a little luck from their parents.

No matter. They both had a rockin' good time.

Another Preschool Crown

I asked Gavin as we rode home from school what was on his crown to which he replied a green stegosaurus.
He makes a mother proud.

Gavin then insisted I wear the four-sizes-too-small crown while he takes my picture.
It's all about equality in our house.

Another Phone Camera Dump

After playing with Papa Forbes, Gavin loves any guitar now.

First day of high school in Peachtree City.
And why yes, that is a parking lot full of golf carts.

Huddleston Pond, a beauty around the corer.

I thought I was missing an ear of corn from the counter.

'People talkin' about my best friend...'

Rockin' out in new pajamas!

Logan really is that cool.

A Sleeping Babe

Will I still take pictures of them sleeping when they are in high school?
Maybe... probably... most definitely.
I better warn them as they are growing up.

Georgia Aquarium with the Miners

In part of our planning around the weather, Monday called for rain so we headed inside to the Georgia Aquarium. Unfortunately quite a few other people headed inside as well and not to mention it was Labor Day. The aquarium was pretty busy but we still walked away very impressed. Gavin loved it as expected, but Logan came alive with excitement! Most viewing tanks were floor to ceiling or at his height, so he would run from one to the other. He was in heaven looking at the fish. We cannot wait to go back and already have our next visit planned (on a sunny weekday not on a holiday mind you).

Zoo Atlanta

While looking ahead at the weather, we made the wise move to spend the warm, rain-free Saturday at the zoo. We heard the Atlanta Zoo was worth the visit and rare since only a few zoos in the country have pandas. We had a wonderful time walking the park, riding the train and carousel, and encountering the animals up close at the petting zoo.

Love this Logan

Lovable. Edible. Handsome. Sweet.
Laughable. Charming. Hunky. Adorable.

I love this Logan.

The Twinkle Twinkle Crown

Gavin brought home his first preschool craft today, and like the first time parents that we are we went crazy in documenting it. I understand that it is a crown with glitter stars on it with Twinkle Twinkle written in the middle. But it's a crown with glitter stars on it with Twinkle Twinkle written in the middle that my baby made. Now the difficult part was documenting the crown with a normal smile.

And did I mention that Sean's parents flew in last night to visit for the week? We sure do love us some visitors.
