June Happenings

June has been a busy month for us! Obviously the moving in part made it busy, but we were also busy having oodles of noodles of FUN!!!

We went to our VERY FIRST ever Rockies game at Coors Field as a Fam. Alan had been to a White Sox game the year they won the World Series, but none of us had been, so it was a night of lots of firsts...

There was a lot of brotherly love that night ;) It was hot at first, but as soon as the sun went down and the crowd was good and drunk... the fun began!

The kids really loved it! And at $11 for the whole fam damily... we will be going back for many family nights!

(There was a special that night, but even on a regular night it's pretty cheap)

We ended up going back sooner than later... 2 nights later, we went on a date night with some of Carolina's friends (they couldn't come)...

It's hard to tell... but it was pouring rain this whole game! It was FREEZING!!!! But, like the DIE HARD Rockies fans that we are... we stayed until the end!

We bought season passes to Elitch Garden's this year (it's like Lagoon).

These pics are from a Monday night. We went for family night and there was NO ONE there! It was awesome!

The infamous Wacky Warehouse... otherwise known as the "balls, balls, balls, balls, balls, etc..." by Tyty. He can' get enough of this place!

The kids convinced Ty to ride the Cactus Coaster and he really liked it the first time... not so much the second time. Isn't Hallie being SO SWEET protecting his head so he didn't get bonked?

The Kids took swimming lessons for 2 weeks and it was perfect! It got them to the pool and I didn't actually have to get in! Which is really good, cause I'm not a fan of the public pools around here...

This is on the last day of class. Their teacher finally let them jump of the diving board!

I could never do that, so I was WAY impressed!! Need to sign them up for another session ... soon!

Summer & Jessica Ashby

Summer has been making lots of friends at church and I am SO glad, because I was really worried about moving an 11 year old! This pic is from a slumber party she was invited to with the girls from her church class.

I signed Jaxon up for baseball camp this week. They went from 9-12 everyday and he loved it! It got pretty freakin' HOT too... Like today, it was already 80 degrees by 9 am! But he was still pumped to go everyday. I would find him dressed, bed made, full tummyed, and playing video games when I would emerge from my bedroom every morning! He is SO not my son ;)

This is when he hit a "Grand Slam"!

I'm pretty sure we will be doing baseball camp again next year!

And June would not be complete without Tyty toting around a golf club and ball everywhere we went. This kid is addicted to golf and anything that has to do with a ball really. If Tyty is missing, he can usually be found on the front lawn playing golf!

We really love Colorado so far. When we are not at swim lessons, Elitch, playing baseball, or at Rockies games... we can be found down in Castle Rock swimming with friends!

This is turning out to be the BEST SUMMER EVER!!!

So, you might have been thinking... what happened to the Arthur's?? Well, I am happy to say that we are back and yes, we are alive!

We moved into our cute little house in Longmont on May 17th and I am finally starting to feel a little bit settled. We have a great ward and awesome neighbors too! The kids made friends right away, and since that was my biggest worry about the move... things are lookin' good!

Of course there were a few hiccups along the way, like the week we moved in my washer was broken, Alan was out of town, and the Internet was down all week! Now, that might not seem like a big deal, but when you have a house full of boxes, baskets & baskets of dirty clothes, and no way to get your Job done... it made for some serious stress!

The only other thing that is driving me CRAZY is the smell of the carpet in the family room... it smells like stinky shoes or a sweaty armpit! And NO amount of scentsy seems to get rid of it! Aaaahhhh! I hate it when it stinks in my house, so I think we will be having the carpets shampooed (does that look right?) already!

The BIG Move

This post and these pics are mostly for me I guess... but you can enjoy too :)

Moving was bittersweet. We were so excited about what lay ahead and about FINALLY being together as a family, but we were sad to say goodbye to our house. The only place the 3 little kids have ever known as "home".

It sure was heaven having the movers do ALL the packing though...

They packed, I cleaned, and we managed to get out of there around noon on

Saturday May 15th...

We headed to my Mom's to get Tyson, shower, and have lunch and then to the Dorny's who were nice enough to watch Hallie & Jax for us...

It was sad saying goodbye to such dear friends :( They have been like family to us. Always there when we needed them... no strings attached. Loved us for us. We will truly miss them more than words can describe. Thanks you guys for all you have done for us over the years!!!

Then it was onward to Colorado! The drive took FOREVER!!! We had to make quite a few stops for trailer mishaps, gas, seeing Alan's brother in Grand Junction, getting pulled over for lack of trailer lights ... but we FINALLY pulled in around 1 am...

Spent the night at my Sisters and headed to church bright and early the next day...

Moving in Day was Monday. They unloaded everything in one day and set up all our beds... which was perfect considering Alan had to go out of town and we NEEDED beds :)

Our garage looked like this for a couple weeks... pretty white trash, I know. but we had to get the house unpacked before we could move on to the garage...

Other than the broken washer and no Internet for a week, the move was pretty uneventful... halefreakinluja!

And we are finally "HOME".... for now :)

VEGAS Baby!!

I turned the Big 3-0 on May 8th!! I was actually really excited to turn 30... weird, right? But I guess I have always felt WAY too young to have such an old daughter and all my friends have always been older, because of the ages of my kids. So I was excited to "grow up" I guess...

My hubster made the day SUPER special for me... he planned a girls weekend away for me that was supposed to be a surprise, but I found out cause I'm such a snoop, and it was a B-L-A-S-T!

I have always talked about doing a girls weekend, but like many of you know... I AM NOT A PLANNER, so it never got planned. But he did, and it was incredible!

We spent two nights at the Tahiti Village in VEGAS on the south end of the strip. It was beautiful and I especially loved that there wasn't a casino in the hotel! We had such an amazing time!

Caro & Katie had to leave before the show to fly home :( We missed them, but the show was great!

We ended the evening with some Beignets from The Grand Luxe Cafe.... MY FAVORITE!!!

It was great just relaxing, laughing, floating the lazy river, shopping, eating, and talking! I love being able to shre my life with such amazing friends... especially my Bestie's ;)

Other than the fact that my hubs wasn't there... this was my BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!
