Stake Conference

So last Sunday, October 16th, I went to stake choir because we were preparing for stake conference which was this most recently past Sunday October 23rd. While there we practiced a song that had a C instrument obbligato part and the director mentioned that they didn't have anyone to play because the flutist had backed out during the week. So...being a violinist and seeing that the part was fairly easy, I volunteered myself to play the part. Now keep in mind that I NEVER have time to practice. Well after I got home I realized that I probably shouldn't have done what I did but I had and so I played with them and luckily the part was easy and I did well on it. Also for stake conference I had fun dressing up my girls! And I have pictures of that too!

This was the second picture I took of them. The 3rd one was the best because I got their attention with that water bottle that is sitting next to Ellie! But I have it as the background on my phone and didn't want to part with it yet. When I get a cuter picture to put there I may just have to add it to this post. :)

Crafting as of late!

Today I woke up in the mood to craft! Well at least apparently I did. I made a quilt...first one ever! And then I spruced up a plain old fall wreath we had so that it looked full and pretty for my door! And I have pictures to prove it happened! Oh and by the way...the quilt design and what not I just made up and hoped it worked so I think as a whole this was a successful day!

PICTURES TO COME!

So I took the initiative to set up a time for family pictures! I felt like it was about time since we haven't had any since Rosalee was born and she is now 4 months and we only have like 2 pictures of her hanging up in our house! ANYWAY, yesterday evening we went to Nature Park with a friend from our old ward Cindy Ray Baldwin and she took family pictures for us! I hope they turned out good! We didn't get to see any of them yet but when I do get them I am planning on posting again. When we got there, some stray dogs were running around our car and so Ellie wouldn't walk she made us carry her and then we couldn't get her to smile until we got her looking at the ducks. After that she was completely distracted by the duck and so the only way we could get her to cooperate was to be facing the ducks. Rosalee on the other hand was held the whole time and I think she basically just stared at the camera. All in all I'm sure we will find some that we can use and I'm excited to see how they turned out because the weather was beautiful for October in Rexburg and there were about 5 other families getting their pictures taken at Nature Park at the same time as us. Popular spot I guess!
