Random Happenings At Our House

So Abby has been afraid of the dark for about a year or so. I went down to check on her this afternoon and she was happily playing in the dark in our basement. I asked her what she was doing and she said "I am not afraid of the dark anymore because I thunked like a scientist."

"Mommy, I put these clips in my hair, now I am stylish."

Austin has 4 teeth now. He is saying "Mama"!

 Have I mentioned Austin has been pulling himself up on everything for the last few weeks....

Bryson loves the snow and he loves "How To Train Your Dragon".

We had a great time decorating our Christmas Tree, this year we let the kids do 99% of it . Yes our corral immediately went up around it after we were done:)

Happy Birthday to Me

 29 on the 29th! So today's my birthday.  I thought I would be a little depressed as I start the last year of my 20's but it has been a great day. Harry Potter, Texas Road House, birthday breakfast, presents and my sweet family made for a wonderful day. (Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes and gifts) Thanks to all my friends and family for giving me a truly blessed life!

So I was going through some of my pictures of me as a kid and realized I have made a clone of myself. 

These pictures are both of me when I was a wee lass but they could just as easily be Abby, don't you think?

Random Happenings

Abby & Bryson had their first dentist visits. Abby did great, Bryson, not so much.

We got 2 new beautiful nieces Sabrina (left) Fiona (right).... I think :)

Abby has worn this snow suit for the last 3 winters in a row.... This year she might be ready for a new one don't you think.

Bryson's fits great, he just doesn't keep it on long.

So this is the "princess starglo" dress Abby designed and I sewed for her Halloween costume. Is it what she is going to wear for Halloween... NO!

She decided to be Wendy from Bob the builder :)

and she has learned to spell her name :)

So I have been inspired by Project Runway (don't judge). My mom gave me this hand-me-down dress. Not so much my style or size...

So I turned it into this...

 Ok so it isn't a dramatic change, but there you have it.

Forward Motion

Austin is determined to try and keep up with Abby and Bryson. These last couple weeks he has literally been making great strides forward. I suppose it is not true crawling, but he certainly has achieved forward motion :) He is about 2 months ahead of Abby and Bryson. They both crawled at around 8 months old.

Bryson's personality has taken another leap forward. He has really started to enjoy singing. This kid cracks me up.

 My favorite Bryson sayings of late are:
"Mom, my finger is a temple."
Everything is "the best ever" "This dinner is the best ever." "This ball is the best ever."
"You're all set mom."
"You bet!"
He is actually pretty polite. Without prompting he will often say "Thanks for the dinner mom."

Just in the last week we have started having daily family scripture study. We took some advice from conference and we each take a turn reading a verse, we have Abby and Bryson repeat the words of their verse. Well they have quickly caught on to a common phrase in the Book of Mormon... We were reading tonight and Ben tells Abby it is her turn. Before he can start the verse she says "And it came to pass." Then it was Bryson's turn. Ben say "and" and before he gets another word out Bryson says "it came to pass".

Bath Time

If you thought these were the same baby you would be wrong. The top pic is Bryson at 6 1/2 months 20.5 lbs. The bottom pic is Austin at 6 1/2 months 18.5 lbs. Yup, I am pretty sure they are brothers.

Quick Update

Bryson discovers toilet paper.

We make Halloween pillowcases that glow in the dark.

 Sir grumps-a-lot is gone and our happy little Austin is back.

Abby is NOT afraid of snakes.

6 Months Old

Austin is 6 month old. His 2 bottom teeth have finally broken through. He is still as squishy and sweet as ever. He can sit up for short periods of time, he loves eating rice cereal and he rolls over every which way. He has his Dad's ears and him Mom's thighs, I mean eyes:) and we sure love him!
