1 week from today...
...is the completion date. Hard to believe, huh? This week, the house was painted, the driveway was poured, linoleum was laid ( I know, but it was the only way to do get what we want without being charged for it), stucco color was put on the house, patio was poured on the back, finish trim was put in and painted, cabinets were installed, bathroom counter tops were installed, stone and brick were almost finished, garages were painted inside (kind of funny since it was not textured) and probably some other things that I don't know about.

Week 5
We are 2 weeks from the completion date. Everything is going well.
This week they textured the walls and ceilings, put insulation in the attic, put up the first layer of stucco underlayment, installed the doors and trim, put stone on the front of the house and prepped for pouring the driveway. I didn't go inside today but I think they might have been painting today. A guy came out all in white with his hair and face covered. So I am guessing he was painting. :)
Oh and the stucco color isn't grey. This is just the underlayment. ;)

4 weeks
We hit the 4 mark on Wednesday, which means only 2 weeks until the house's completion date. I think they are going to go over on the time frame a little due to the rain problem from earlier this week. Things are moving along...slowly. They were able to dry out the sheetrock and the house has been taped and mudded. The next step on the inside is texturing. I have no complaints on the sheetrockers. They are fast, hard workers.
Those roofers are taking FOREVER to get around to doing the roof. In a weeks time, they have put the membrane on the house and moved the tiles to the roof. The biggest problem is getting them to show up. I would like to think they are stretched between a lot of homes and that is why they are taking so long. But with a 2 day time frame to do the roof, they are way over on the schedule.
I am a little surprised that the stucco guys haven't started stuccoing yet. It should be any day now that they start. I don't know if they are waiting on the roofers to get done or not. It seems like they are. They have had the scaffolding up for almost 2 weeks now, just waiting.
Anyways, here are some pictures from this week...

Rain
It rained unexpectedly Sunday night. Which isn't a bad thing...unless the sheetrockers worked over the weekend and the roofers did not.
Yes, the roof wasn't on all the way to protect the house that was FULLY sheet rocked. Sigh! It is a shame that the roof didn't go on faster, because now we have a delay for a couple days while they get fans and heaters in there to make sure the sheet rock is fully dry before they continue. They normally wait til the roof is on before they tape, so at least it wasn't taped yet. Good thing they have a sheet rock inspection in our city. They will have to make sure everything is right before continuing.

My Little Stinker
Corbin...
He's so cute, and so destructive. My other boys were active at this stage, but they did not destroy like this little guy does. Good thing he is so cute. ;)
I took a few pictures this week while he was in the midst of his destroying.
Coloring with markers. He already got his nose and a little on the counter top at this point.
He was pretty sad after I took the markers away for coloring on the counter top. I have to watch him carefully because he is quite the graffiti artist on the walls and on his body.
But he already had a second idea in his head. See him leaning forward...
Next was the sink. This sink just happens to swivel all the way around. Which has allowed him to almost flood the kitchen twice this week. He is so sneaky!!
He is also master of the tv. Our other tv is in storage, and this one is the perfect height for him to touch all the buttons.
And if big brother tries to stop him he is really for a fight.
Another thing he has taken to since we have moved to the new apartment is toilets. That kid is lightening fast at going in the bathrooms if someone forgets to shut the door. I often catch him as he is quickly throwing things in the toilet and flushing it. One day, I walked in and he was taking everything out of the trash next to the toilet and throwing it in the toilet to flush.
Just this past week, I have had to remove train tracks, 3 toothbrushes, legos, a toliet paper roll all AFTER he flushed them. I need to go find a store that carries the toilet child proof clips. Little stinker!!
He is lucky he is so cute.

3 weeks!!!
Ready for an update? It has been 3 weeks since the permit for the house was pulled. We just finished the 3 way inspection today (electrical, plumbing and hvac) and they finished the insulation today. They do an insulation and sheet rock inspection here...(never had that up north). I was told it was a city rule.
They should be starting the sheet rock tomorrow. There is scaffolding up for the stucco guys so that should be starting any day now. When I visited the house the stone guys were putting up the black paper and wiring to get ready for their portion. Things are going really fast over there.
Since we are at 3 weeks, we are 3 weeks away from the finish date. Crazy! Here's a little eye candy for you. ;)

Happy 2 weeks!!!
It has been exactly 2 weeks today since the permit for the house was pulled. Happy 2 weeks!!
This is the most recent picture from this afternoon. Starting on the 2nd level. Yay!! Here are some pictures from the past week and a half that we have been in St. George...
The boys loved the dirt pile. Kyler actually left his bumble bee transformer toy in the pile. The next day, when we went there, the dirt pile was gone. I asked the concrete guys and luckily one had set it aside for him. Lucky boy...

Lumber has arrived!! Then it got to sit all weekend through the rain. :(
Monday morning. The guys are sweeping the water off the slab and "thinking" of getting to the framing. ;)
Late Monday afternoon, the crew of 8 guys arrived and they are getting to work!
Tuesday morning.Things are starting to look good!
There is also a reason why I am calling myself the crazy stalker lady home owner. I have to drive the boys to/from school 3 times a day and the school is right behind our neighborhood. So I get to drive past the house 3 times a day to check on it. I am sure they think I am a little bit of a "stalker" by now. But, oh well. I get lots of pictures out of it. ;)
