Aaron's 30th Birthday

On September 9, Aaron turned 30! We had a big party to celebrate him and the wonderful man that he is. Everyone was asked to dress in their best AK impression so there was a lot of blue, plaid and AK gear. We played "Minute-To-Win-It" games which held for some hilarious moments. I think Aaron felt appreciated by everyone who was able to come. He is ready to embark on his 30's!!

Austin has been on the MOVE! He is getting into everything, keeps me busy, and takes way too short of naps. That may explain why I haven't updated the blog in over 2 months. Here are some photos from September.

August 11, 2010 - First Birthday

The first year of parenthood has been an amazing journey. Austin is changing everyday and is constantly learning new things. He loves our dog, Paisley. When he sees her he points at her and chases after her and says "A-Zee". He loves dancing to music and has recently learned how to give hugs. We love you, Austin! We are so proud of you!! First Birthday Party

On August 7th we had a birthday party for Austin. The party was at Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt. We had a great time and I think Austin did too! It was pretty simple, everyone ate yogurt and cupcakes, chatted and hung out. We sang Happy Birthday to Austin and he dug into his cake. He had a huge cake all to himself and he probably would have eaten the whole thing if I didn't stop him. It was a fun day remembering the first year of Austin's life and celebrating our first born child!

It's been awhile...

I've been slacking in my blog updates so here are some photos from the last several weeks. Our little man is almost 1. He is walking all over the place and likes to dance when I turn on his Bible song music. He loves to eat...he even likes broccoli! But his favorite food overall is a banana. He even says "na-na" when he sees one and starts to laugh. He also loves to play the piano at my parents house. If we say, "Austin, do you want to play the piano?" He will start walking toward the piano and try to get himself up on the bench to play. His little personality is emerging more and more each day. He takes swimming lessons every Monday. He really likes the water and he loves his teacher, Miss Heather. He won't take his eyes off of her. He is getting used to going under the water and will hopefully soon be able to blow bubbles. I think those are the Austin updates for now!

First Steps

Babies sure do grow up fast. Austin took his first steps last Tuesday. Crawling is still much more efficient but he is starting to explore what it is like to be on his feet.

Austin is also becoming very adventuresome. He thought it would be fun to crawl into his toy box. It was cute and a good idea until he realized it was harder to get out than to get in.
