Ok, I sorta made the paper.
Last night I went to an Orem Owlz game in search of some autographs. The new team set came out and I wanted to get something signed before the end of the season.
I'd been watching a guy tear it up for most of the season. When I read the stat line on him, I was shocked to see the line.
Pioneer League Most Valuable Player
#1 in Batting average, .400
#1 in Hits (108)
#1 in Doubles (28)
#1 in RBIs (72)
#1 in Runs (68)
#1 in On-base percentage (.481)
#1 in Slugging percentage (.668).
#2 (tied) 14 home runs.
This stat line is probably the best line ever in the history of baseball.
I approached Roberto at batting practice last night and asked him to sign a bat. I prepared my request by first giving him a "Tony Gwynn" autographed ball and then asked for the impossible. I asked if he'd sign my bat with ALL of the above listed stats. (I've seen some of the greats do it, so I thought I'd see if Roberto would be generous to do it for me). He seemed surprised, so I explained exactly what I wanted. He was happy and didn't seem to mind.
This morning in the news paper I found this article.
"Lopez joins .400 club as Owlz beat Ogden"
The first line of the article "Roberto Lopez was given a bat by a fan and asked to list all the categories that he leads the Pioneer League in and then autograph the bat."

Miley Cyrus Concert
So the Miley Cyrus concert went great. I was posted as security FRONT row in the CENTER of the stage. Tammy was on the second row, Billie and Jacinta were on the FRONT row. That's crazy for one of the hottest tickets in the world right now.

Busy days and busy nights
It's been crazy lately. With Tammy working full time, Jacinta at girls camp, the Chazz and Billie being shuttled from place to place, it gets a little crazy. On top of that, I work swing shift all this week, then rotate to graves for all of next week. I'll work the a Glenn Beck book signing, then run down to the Stadium of Fire, while Jacinta and Billie sit on the second row. Oh ya, Cabin Bunco is in the mix as well as an overtime shift on Thursday.
Hoping things are OK
This morning we heard about the Taney's horrible ATV crash. Luckily, no one was seriously injured. Just wanted to let you know we were thinking about you guys.

Ballgames
One of the things I really wanted to get out of this trip is a ball game or two. I've never been to the Houston Astros and aslo have never to the "Ballpark in Arlington'. So we covered some ground and hit both sites.

Today is Monday the 30th. We're trying to get some blogs posted and get things rolling here. Luckily Brandon and Michelle have been patient as I ask them how to do this stuff.For now, I'll catch ya'll up to some of our latest adventures.
So last week, we flew into Texas for Skylers graduation. First thing he did is scooped Sky up and traveled Texas. Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and stuff. Tam and I have never been there, so it was all new.
This first shot is a pic of Tammy, showing her undying love for law enforcement --- or maybe it just seemed like a photo opportunity ---- maybe she thought they were cute. Who knows, but they played along.
