Tomorrow is New Years Eve and I am going to have fun with friends and family. Can't think of a better way to spend my holiday.

Santa came:

We had to wake the kids up at 8:15 as they never want to get up, even on Christmas, which I am thankful for. We always do stockings before breakfast and have a hige breakfast with cinnamon rolls, bacon, cantaloupe, OJ, hot cocoa, and so forth. YUM

We headed to church this particular Christmas, which was very nice and then came home to read Luke 2 open presents. Melina insisted we sing happy birthday to Jesus as well before we opened presents.

Double Digits

Sariah turned the BIG 10 last week. I am in awe at what a beautiful, helpful, smart, and clever child we are raising. She comes with her unique set of challenges, but on a scale of 1-20, I say she is a 10...haha...get it? 10 (as in her age).

Anyways, for her birthday she invited two friends to come to dinner at Applebee's and I took them to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. I have no picture (cause I a good mom like that), but I am told they had fun.

Christmas Eve with the family

This was our first year spending Christmas Eve with TJ's dad and family. It was a nice evening with good food, tons of people, and ended with some gift opening. We even managed to sneak in a picture (which is a rarity cause we are never all in the same room). This may be the last time, so I am framing this baby.

We were invited up to Hoodoo area to go sledding on Christmas Eve and we were excited to go. There was not a ton of snow, but enough for the kids to have a blast and it was so warm we were stripping off layers. It was a nice little snow park and we got more use our of our sleds this year than last's years attempt at Mary's Peak.

Dance Party

Last week before bed, we decided to have a dance party. This is the only surviving picture as my big body was in too many of them and I WAS NOT going to post those.

Big Boy Bed

Last week, TJ set up Trevin's toddler bed. He was thrilled about it until bedtime. He screamed for an hour that first night and has had some good and some bad nights since.

Hopefully he continues to be our best sleeper...we love his sleeping habits.

Raking leaves

It is not nearly as fun to jump in leaves when they are wet, but I think this crew enjoyed themselves none-the-less.

HOLIDAY PARTY

This is what happens when you invite friends over for a holiday party, increasing the child population to 17 15 (two kids chose to stay home).

We had good company, white elephant exchanging, tasty food, crafts, and cookie decorating. It was a fun few hours. And the only picture I took was of the kids watching a movie. :)
