Rate Limiting and API Security in Next.js 15 — The Patterns I Actually Use

An API route with no rate limiting works fine right up until someone hits it a thousand times a second, either by accident (a buggy client retry loop) or on purpose. I learned this the annoying way, watching a client's database bill spike because a public form endpoint had no limit on how often it could be called.

Here is what I actually put in place now, on every project with public-facing endpoints.

1. Rate Limiting with Upstash

Upstash's Redis-backed rate limiter works well with Next.js since it is designed for serverless, no persistent connection required between requests.

npm install @upstash/ratelimit @upstash/redis

// lib/ratelimit.ts
import { Ratelimit } from '@upstash/ratelimit';
import { Redis } from '@upstash/redis';

const redis = new Redis({
  url: process.env.UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL as string,
  token: process.env.UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN as string,
});

export const ratelimit = new Ratelimit({
  redis,
  limiter: Ratelimit.slidingWindow(10, '60 s'),
  analytics: true,
});

slidingWindow(10, '60 s')
allows 10 requests per 60 seconds per identifier. Sliding window is generally the better default over a fixed window, since a fixed window lets someone burst right at the boundary between two windows and effectively double their allowed rate.

2. Applying It to a Route Handler

// app/api/contact/route.ts
import { ratelimit } from '@/lib/ratelimit';
import { headers } from 'next/headers';

export async function POST(request: Request) {
  const headersList = await headers();
  const ip = headersList.get('x-forwarded-for') ?? 'unknown';

  const { success, limit, remaining, reset } = await ratelimit.limit(ip);

  if (!success) {
    return Response.json(
      { error: 'Too many requests' },
      {
        status: 429,
        headers: {
          'X-RateLimit-Limit': limit.toString(),
          'X-RateLimit-Remaining': remaining.toString(),
          'X-RateLimit-Reset': reset.toString(),
        },
      }
    );
  }

  const body = await request.json();
  // handle the actual request
  return Response.json({ success: true });
}

Returning the rate limit headers even on success is good practice, it lets well-behaved clients see how close they are to the limit and back off proactively instead of finding out by hitting a 429.

3. Rate Limiting Server Actions

Server Actions do not get the same automatic IP access that route handlers do, since they are not standard HTTP endpoints in the same way. Getting the identifier takes an extra step.

// actions/contact.ts
'use server';
import { ratelimit } from '@/lib/ratelimit';
import { headers } from 'next/headers';

export async function submitContact(formData: FormData) {
  const headersList = await headers();
  const ip = headersList.get('x-forwarded-for') ?? 'unknown';

  const { success } = await ratelimit.limit(`contact_${ip}`);

  if (!success) {
    return { success: false, message: 'Too many attempts, try again shortly' };
  }

  // proceed with validation and saving
  return { success: true, message: 'Message sent' };
}

Prefixing the identifier with
contact_
matters if multiple Server Actions share one rate limiter, it keeps each action's usage counted separately instead of one action's traffic eating into another's limit.

4. Rate Limiting by User, Not Just IP

IP-based limiting is the right default for unauthenticated endpoints, like a public contact form. For authenticated actions, limiting by user ID is usually more accurate, since multiple users can share an IP behind the same network, and one user can rotate IPs to dodge an IP-based limit entirely.

// actions/posts.ts
'use server';
import { ratelimit } from '@/lib/ratelimit';
import { getSession } from '@/lib/auth';

export async function createPost(formData: FormData) {
  const session = await getSession();
  if (!session) throw new Error('Not authenticated');

  const { success } = await ratelimit.limit(`create_post_${session.userId}`);

  if (!success) {
    return { success: false, message: 'Slow down, try again in a minute' };
  }

  // proceed
}

5. Validating Input Before It Reaches the Database

Rate limiting controls how often someone can call an endpoint. It says nothing about what they send. Every route handler and Server Action still needs its own validation, same principle covered in the form handling setup, applied specifically at the API boundary here.

// app/api/users/route.ts
import { z } from 'zod';

const CreateUserSchema = z.object({
  name: z.string().min(2).max(50),
  email: z.string().email(),
});

export async function POST(request: Request) {
  const body = await request.json();
  const parsed = CreateUserSchema.safeParse(body);

  if (!parsed.success) {
    return Response.json({ error: 'Invalid input' }, { status: 400 });
  }

  // proceed with parsed.data, never the raw body
}

Never pass the raw request body into a database call. Even with rate limiting in place, an endpoint accepting arbitrary shaped input is still open to malformed data, oversized payloads, or fields that were never meant to be settable from outside.

6. CORS for Public API Routes

If an API route is meant to be called from your own frontend only, restricting CORS prevents other websites from calling it directly from a browser using a visitor's already-authenticated session.

// app/api/data/route.ts
export async function GET(request: Request) {
  const origin = request.headers.get('origin');
  const allowedOrigin = process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_URL;

  const response = Response.json({ data: 'example' });

  if (origin === allowedOrigin) {
    response.headers.set('Access-Control-Allow-Origin', allowedOrigin);
  }

  return response;
}

This matters specifically for cookie-based auth. Without a CORS restriction, a malicious site could make a request that rides on a logged-in user's cookies, and without a check like this, your API would happily respond as if the request came from your own frontend.

7. Secrets Never Reach the Client

An easy mistake in Next.js specifically, any environment variable prefixed with
NEXT_PUBLIC_
gets bundled into client-side JavaScript, visible to anyone who opens dev tools.

// ❌ This leaks the secret into the browser bundle
const apiKey = process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_STRIPE_SECRET_KEY;

// ✅ Secret keys stay server-only, no NEXT_PUBLIC_ prefix
const apiKey = process.env.STRIPE_SECRET_KEY;

Only prefix an environment variable with
NEXT_PUBLIC_
when the value is genuinely meant to be public, a publishable Stripe key, an analytics ID, not an API secret, database URL, or anything meant to stay server-side only.

Summary

Pattern

Protects against

Sliding window rate limit (Upstash)

Endpoint abuse, accidental retry loops, brute force attempts

Per-user rate limiting on authenticated actions

IP rotation and shared-IP inaccuracy

Zod validation at the API boundary

Malformed or unexpected input reaching the database

CORS restriction on cookie-authenticated routes

Cross-site requests riding on a logged-in session

No
NEXT_PUBLIC_
on secrets

API keys and secrets leaking into the client bundle

Rate limiting and validation solve different problems and both matter. Rate limiting controls how often, validation controls what. An endpoint with one but not the other is still exposed, just in a different way.

I put this exact set of protections, rate limiting through Upstash, Zod validation at every boundary, on any public-facing endpoint across the SaaS projects I build.

Textideo Review: An All-in-One AI Video & Image Generator That Actually Saves Time

AI content tools are everywhere right now—but most of them solve only one piece of the puzzle. You either get a video generator, an image tool, or a prompt-based system that still requires heavy editing afterward.

Textideo takes a different approach.

Instead of being just another AI tool, it positions itself as a complete content creation platform—combining video, image, and multi-model generation into a single workflow. After exploring the platform in depth, here’s a breakdown of what it does well, where it stands out, and whether it’s worth using.

What Is Textideo?

Textideo is an AI-powered platform that lets you create:

Videos from text prompts
Videos from images
AI-generated images
Voiceovers and multimedia content

All directly in the browser, without requiring editing skills.

The goal is simple:

Turn ideas into publishable content in minutes.

Key Features

Text-to-Video Generation

The core feature is the ability to turn simple prompts into fully generated videos.

You can describe:

A scene
A story
A marketing idea

…and Textideo generates a ready-to-use video with visuals, motion, and structure.

This makes it especially useful for:

Short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
Marketing creatives
Rapid content testing

Multi-Model AI Integration

One of the biggest advantages of Textideo is that it doesn’t rely on a single AI model.

Instead, it integrates multiple models for different tasks, including:

Video generation models
Image generation systems
Multimodal AI engines

This gives users flexibility without needing to switch platforms.

Why this matters:
Most tools lock you into one model. Textideo lets you experiment and choose what works best for your content.

AI Image Generation (Nano Banana Model)

Textideo also includes advanced image generation through its Nano Banana AI model.

You can:

Generate high-quality images from text
Edit images with semantic prompts
Maintain character and scene consistency

This is particularly useful for:

Branding visuals
Story-based content
Social media graphics

Built-In Content Tools (e.g. Twitter Video Tool)

Beyond core generation, Textideo includes niche tools designed for specific platforms.

For example:

A Twitter/X video tool for optimized content creation
Free image generation tools for quick access

These tools act as entry points for new users and make the platform more practical for real-world use.

Free Credits + No Subscription Barrier

Unlike many AI platforms, Textideo lowers the barrier to entry:

New users receive free credits
Daily check-ins can earn additional credits
No mandatory subscription required to get started

This makes it easy to test the platform without upfront commitment.

Use Cases

Textideo is designed for speed and scalability, not just creativity.

Here’s where it works best:

Content Creators

Quickly produce videos for:

TikTok
YouTube Shorts
Instagram Reels
Indie Hackers & Builders

Create:

Product demos
Landing page visuals
Marketing videos

Without hiring designers or editors.

Marketers

Generate:

Ad creatives
Social media campaigns
Visual storytelling content

At a much lower cost.

What Makes Textideo Different?

There are many AI tools out there—but Textideo stands out in a few key ways:

All-in-One Workflow

Instead of juggling multiple tools, everything happens in one place.

Model Aggregation

It acts as a hub for multiple AI models, not just a single engine.

Built for Distribution

The platform is clearly optimized for content that performs on social media, not just raw generation.

Fast Iteration

Because of its credit system and simple interface, you can:

Test ideas quickly
Iterate content
Scale what works
Limitations

No tool is perfect, and Textideo is no exception.

Output quality can vary depending on prompts
Some models may require experimentation to get consistent results
Advanced users may still want manual editing tools

That said, these are common across most AI generation platforms today.

Final Thoughts

Textideo isn’t trying to compete as the most advanced AI model.

Instead, it focuses on something more practical:

Making AI content creation fast, accessible, and scalable.

If you’re someone who needs to produce a lot of content—whether for social media, marketing, or product growth—it’s a tool worth trying.

Especially since you can start for free and scale up as needed.

Should You Try It?

Yes, if you:

Create content regularly
Want to save time on production
Prefer an all-in-one solution

Maybe not, if you:

Need frame-perfect video editing
Require full creative control at a professional level

In a crowded AI tools market, Textideo’s biggest advantage is simple:

It helps you go from idea → content → publish, faster than most alternatives.

And in today’s content-driven world, speed is often the real competitive edge.

The Real Struggle of a Software Developer (and How to Push Through Without Burning Out)

Let’s be real for a second.

Software development looks glamorous from the outside. High salaries, remote work, fancy job titles, startup vibes, and people thinking you’re some kind of genius because you “know coding.” But anyone who’s actually in the game knows the truth:

Being a developer is mentally brutal.

Not because the work is impossible — but because the struggle is constant, invisible, and deeply personal.

This post isn’t about “learn JavaScript in 30 days” or “wake up at 5 AM to become a 10x engineer.” This is about the real struggles developers face and how to overcome them in a way that actually works in the long run.

1. The Feeling of “I’m Not Good Enough” Never Fully Goes Away
No one warns you about this.

You land your first job or build your first decent project, and for a moment you feel proud. Then you open GitHub, LinkedIn, or X and suddenly:

Someone younger than you built a SaaS making $$$
Someone else mastered a new framework in a weekend
Another dev is casually talking about system design you don’t understand
And just like that, your confidence drops.

This is imposter syndrome, and almost every developer has it — even seniors with 10+ years of experience.

Why it happens

Tech moves insanely fast. There’s always:
A new framework
A better architecture
A smarter engineer

So your brain keeps telling you: “You’re behind.”

How to overcome it
Accept that feeling behind is normal, not a failure
Measure progress against your past self, not Twitter devs

Understand this truth:
Good developers feel confused often. Bad developers think they know everything.

Growth and discomfort come together. If you’re confused, you’re learning.

2. Tutorial Hell Is Real (and Dangerous)
Most developers don’t quit because coding is hard.
They quit because they’re stuck watching tutorials forever.

You watch:
“Build a full-stack app”
“React crash course”
“Node.js complete guide”
And everything makes sense… until you close the video.

Then you try to build something on your own and your mind goes blank.

Why this happens
Tutorials give you illusion of progress, not real skill. You’re following steps, not making decisions.
How to escape tutorial hell
After every tutorial, build the same thing without watching

Break projects intentionally:
Remove features
Add your own
Refactor code

Struggle is the point — if it’s uncomfortable, you’re doing it right

Rule of thumb:

If you’re not Googling errors and questioning your life choices, you’re not learning deeply enough.

3. Debugging Can Destroy Your Mental Health

Let’s talk about debugging.

You change one line.
Everything breaks.
You revert it.
It still doesn’t work.

You stare at the screen for hours, questioning:
Your logic
Your career choice
Your existence

This is normal. Debugging is 70% of real-world development, and it’s emotionally exhausting.

The hidden problem

Developers often tie bugs to self-worth:
“Why can’t I solve this?”
“Am I stupid?”
“Others would fix this faster”

That thinking is toxic.

How to deal with debugging without losing your mind

Step away. Seriously. Walk, shower, breathe.
Use systematic debugging:
Logs
Breakpoints
Binary search thinking
Explain the bug out loud (rubber duck debugging works)

Important mindset shift:

Bugs are not proof of incompetence. They’re proof that you’re building something non-trivial.

4. Tech Keeps Changing — and That’s Exhausting

Yesterday it was:
jQuery
Then Angular
Then React
Now Next.js, Remix, Astro, server components, AI copilots…
It never stops.

This creates constant anxiety:
“Should I learn this new thing?”
“Is my current stack becoming obsolete?”
“Am I wasting time?”

The truth
Concepts outlive tools.

Frameworks change. Fundamentals don’t.

What actually matters long-term
Data structures & algorithms (at least basics)
System design thinking
Networking & databases
Writing clean, readable code
Problem-solving ability

Once your foundation is strong, learning new tech becomes adaptation — not panic.

5. Burnout Is Quiet but Deadly

Burnout doesn’t always look like collapse.

Sometimes it looks like:
Dreading opening your laptop
Losing curiosity
Coding only for money
Feeling empty even after achievements

Many developers burn out because they:
Never rest mentally
Tie identity only to productivity
Compare constantly
Ignore health

How to prevent burnout
Have interests outside tech (non-negotiable)
Set boundaries with work
Take breaks without guilt
Remember: you are more than your GitHub commits

Coding is a marathon, not a hackathon.

6. Job Rejections Hurt More Than We Admit

You apply.
You prepare.
You interview.
You get rejected — or worse, ghosted.

After a while, it starts to feel personal.

Reality check

Hiring is messy. Rejection doesn’t always mean lack of skill. Sometimes it’s:

Budget
Timing
Internal referrals
Random preference

How to handle rejection

Treat interviews as feedback loops
Improve one weak area at a time
Keep building publicly (projects, posts, contributions)
Detach ego from outcomes

Rejection is not the opposite of success — quitting is.

7. How Developers Actually Win Long-Term

Here’s the honest formula that works:
Build things, even when they’re bad
Share your journey publicly (posts, blogs, open source)
Learn fundamentals deeply
Stay consistent, not obsessed
Take care of your mental health
Be patient with yourself

Most “overnight successes” in tech are 5–10 years of invisible effort.

Final Thoughts
If you’re struggling as a developer, you’re not broken.
You’re not late.
You’re not failing.

You’re just in the middle of the process — the part nobody posts about.

Keep showing up. Keep building. Keep learning.

And most importantly:
don’t quit on a bad day.

The world doesn’t need perfect developers.
It needs persistent ones.

Your AI Isn’t Dumb — Your Prompts Are Confusing

Your AI Isn’t Dumb — Your Prompts Are Confusing

Let’s be honest:
If your AI keeps giving you answers that look like they were written by a confused potato…
it’s probably because your prompt sounded like:

“Make it funny but serious but emotional but not too emotional thanks.”

My friend, WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Enter The AI Alchemist

This is where theaialchemist.in saves your life.

It takes your messy, chaotic, “I tried my best” prompts and transforms them into:

Clear

Powerful

Professional

Actually understandable instructions

Basically, it turns your 2/10 prompt into a 200 IQ masterpiece.

Why You Need It

If you’ve ever typed:

“Make it better idk how.”

“Write something cool.”

Or my favorite: “Do the thing.”

Then yes… you need prompt optimization.

And it’s easy:

Go to theaialchemist.in
Register
Stop embarrassing yourself in front of your AI

Final Wisdom

Your AI can do incredible things.
But only if you stop confusing it.

Upgrade your prompts today — your results (and your sanity) will thank you.

Jump into theaialchemist.in and make an account now.
THE REAL REASON YOUR PROMPTS SUCK (AND HOW I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY)

THE REAL REASON YOUR PROMPTS SUCK (AND HOW I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY)

By The AI Alchemist

Let’s be honest.
We’ve all typed at least ONE prompt so bad that even the AI paused…
…like it needed a moment to recover.

I didn’t realize how tragic my prompting skills were until my AI sighed at me.

Yes.
Sighed.
An actual digital exhale of disappointment.

I typed:

“Write me something good lol.”

The AI replied:

“Define… good? And also… lol???”

That’s when I knew:
I needed help.
Preferably professional help.
Preferably from someone who wouldn’t screenshot my prompt history.

THE 5 STAGES OF BAD PROMPTING

Confidence

You type your prompt like a legend:
“Make it cool and stuff.”

You hit Enter.
You expect magic.

Confusion

AI returns a poem about a depressed banana.
You pretend that’s what you wanted.

Anger

You shout at the AI.
The AI remains calm.
Which somehow annoys you more.

Denial

“No no, that’s not my fault. AI is dumb.”
(Spoiler: It’s your prompt.)

Acceptance

You realize your prompts need intervention.
Serious intervention.
Like therapy but for text.

ENTER: THE AI ALCHEMIST PROMPT OPTIMIZER

This is the part where I discovered a secret:

Better prompts = Better output.
Better output = You look smarter.
You looking smarter = The reason you should register immediately.

Because when you use the prompt optimizer on theaialchemist.in:

Your messy prompt becomes a laser-guided missile.

Your vague idea becomes something the AI can actually understand.

And best of all: you stop embarrassing yourself in front of your chatbot.

ALSO — BAD PROMPTS ARE PUBLIC SAFETY HAZARDS

Here’s a real example from my inbox:

“Can u write something that sounds like Shakespeare but also like my uncle?”

WHY.
Just… why.

If you’re out here writing war-crime-level prompts like that, you need the optimizer more than you need oxygen.

PROTECT YOURSELF. PROTECT THE AI. REGISTER.

If you want your prompts to:

✨ stop being chaotic
✨ stop confusing your AI
✨ actually generate useful results
✨ make you look like a genius
✨ not get roasted by machine intelligence

then you know what to do.

Register now at theaialchemist.in
Your prompts will thank you.
Your AI will thank you.
Your dignity will thank you.

My AI Is Trying to Replace Me (But Can’t Even Spell My Name)

My AI Is Trying to Replace Me (But Can’t Even Spell My Name)

So, I asked my AI to “write a short bio for me.”
It proudly responded:

“Yash is an influential thought-leader in the field of... basket weaving.”

I’m in tech. I haven’t touched a basket since kindergarten.

Then I said, “Make it sound confident.”
It added,

“Yash has revolutionized baskets on a global scale.”

Bro, stop manifesting wicker.

When AI Becomes Too Creative

I asked it to “make a joke about AI.”
It said:

“Humans fear me, but I fear their spelling.”

Touché.

I tried one last time:

“Make something viral.”
It wrote,
“Viruses spread fast. Would you like one?”

NO. THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT.

The Breakthrough

That’s when I stumbled onto The AI Alchemist
—
a site that basically translates human gibberish into AI brilliance.

It optimizes your prompts so your chatbot stops acting like an overconfident intern.

Now my AI actually understands me.
It writes funny stuff, catchy captions, even flirty replies (don’t ask).

It’s like giving your AI a personality upgrade without the existential crisis.

The Lesson

AI isn’t out to replace you.
It’s out to misunderstand you creatively.

So if your prompts still sound like “me want content now,”
go to The AI Alchemist
and make peace with your robot overlord.

Because communication is hard —
even with something that literally reads your mind.

How I Built PromptBank: The AI-Powered Bank That Lets You Yell at Your Money (And It Listens)

How I Built PromptBank: The AI-Powered Bank That Lets You Yell at Your Money (And It Listens)

Hey there, fellow tech enthusiasts, frustrated bankers, and anyone who's ever screamed at a frozen ATM screen. I'm the guy behind PromptBank, a wild project that's basically what happens when you mash up ChatGPT, a blockchain wallet, and your grandma's piggy bank. Imagine a bank where you don't need an app, a PIN pad, or even pants (okay, maybe pants are still recommended). You just type (or speak) a prompt like "Yo bank, transfer $50 to my buddy for that pizza I owe him," and boom—it happens. Securely, fraud-free, and with a dash of DeFi magic. If you're a hiring manager at a fintech startup or xAI, keep reading; this project's my love letter to innovative engineering, and I'd love to bring that energy to your team.
Let me back up. It all started when I got tired of traditional banking apps that feel like they're designed by sadistic puzzle masters. "Enter your 16-digit code, wait for SMS, spin three times, and pray to the fintech gods." Nah, dude. As a prompt engineer with a background in n8n automations and AI workflows (I've built helpdesk bots, job app agents, and even architectural rendering pipelines), I thought: Why not make banking as easy as chatting? Enter PromptBank—the all-AI bank where prompts rule everything.

The Core Idea: Banking on Prompts

At its heart, PromptBank is a fully AI-driven bank where every action—from checking balances to international transfers—is done via natural language. No menus, no buttons, just "Hey Grok, show my spending on coffee this month" (shoutout to xAI for inspiration). The AI agent (built with Grok-like reasoning) parses your intent, extracts details (amounts, accounts, payees), and executes. But here's the funny part: I made it so smart that if you say "Send $20 to Alice for that awkward date," it logs it under "Entertainment" category. Because, let's be honest, that's what it was.
To make it work, I used a session-based authentication system—log in once with your UserID and password, and you're good for 30 minutes (or until you "logout" like a responsible adult). No re-entering creds every prompt; that's annoying, right? And for roles, clients can only mess with their own money (no peeking at Bob's beer fund), while managers get a god-mode chat for overseeing the whole bank—approving loans, viewing audits, or even creating accounts.

Security: Because Hackers Are the Real Villains

Now, security isn't sexy, but in banking, it's everything. I didn't skimp here. Every transaction goes through a dual logging system: one for financial records (transactions entity) and one for audits (every single action, from logins to "oops, insufficient funds"). Think of it as a black box recorder for your money—complete traceability.
But the real hero is the Fraud Detection AI Agent Tool, a custom AI I built as a gatekeeper. No transaction happens without it scanning for red flags: unusual amounts, weird timing, new payees. It scores risks (low/medium/high) and explains like "Dude, $500 at 2AM to a sketchy wallet? That's sus—confirm or cancel?" If high risk, it blocks and alerts. I even made it explainable AI, so users know why, building trust. Funny story: During testing, it flagged my own "buy 100 coffees" prompt as fraud. Turns out, my caffeine addiction looks suspicious.
For extra layers, I integrated Cloudflare for DDoS protection, WAF rules to block injections, and bot management—because no one wants a robot army stealing your crypto. And speaking of crypto...

DeFi and Blockchain: The Futuristic Twist

To make PromptBank "Web3-native," I added hybrid fiat-crypto ops. "Convert $100 to ETH and stake it" – the AI handles conversions with Chainlink oracles for real-time prices, executes on Ethereum Sepolia testnet (via Web3.js and Infura), and logs the on-chain hash in your off-chain records. No real money in demos, of course—safety first.
The unique bit? AI-optimized DeFi suggestions. The agent analyzes your transaction history to build a risk profile (conservative saver? Aggressive trader?) and suggests stuff like "Based on your low-risk vibe, auto-stake in a stablecoin pool for 5% APY?" It's like having a robo-advisor that's actually fun and not pushy. I tied it into n8n workflows for automation, making it scalable.

Multi-Modal Magic: Talk, Snap, Bank

Because typing is so 2023, I added voice banking (speech-to-text for commands) and image uploads (snap a check, "Deposit this $100"). The AI parses voice with recovery ("Did you say $50 or $15?") and OCRs images for details, all while running fraud checks. It's inclusive—great for visually impaired users—and funny when it mishears "transfer to Alice" as "transfer to Dallas." (Yes, that happened in testing.)

Why This Project Screams "Hire Me"

Look, I'm not just throwing code at walls. As a prompt engineer, I crafted the AI agent to be smart, human-like (with witty responses), and secure. Using n8n for backend automations, Cloudflare for ironclad protection, and blockchain for DeFi, PromptBank isn't a toy—it's a proof-of-concept for the future of banking. It's open-source on GitHub (with a README explaining no-real-funds demos), and I've tested it with simulated attacks (Cloudflare blocked 'em all).
If you're building fintech at xAI, Coinbase, or anywhere, imagine what I could do for your team: AI agents that scale, integrate DeFi securely, and make users laugh while keeping hackers crying. Let's chat—I promise not to make you authenticate every message.
What do you think? Ready to bank on AI? Reach out if you need a demo

How to Craft Effective Prompts Using PARTS

GenAI is transforming the way developers write and refine code. From generating boilerplate to debugging complex issues, AI can save hours of work—but only if you ask it the right way. The secret? Crafting clear, detailed prompts.

Think of your prompt as the specification document for the AI. If it’s vague, you’ll get something generic. If it’s precise, you’ll get code that fits your needs.

To make this easy, use PARTS:

P – Persona: Identify Your Role

Start by telling the AI who you are and your context. This shapes the complexity, depth, and tone of the response.

Examples:

I am a backend engineer working on a microservices architecture using Node.js.

I am a DevOps specialist automating CI/CD pipelines for a Kubernetes environment.

I am a full-stack developer integrating Stripe payments into a React app.

Why it matters: A DevOps engineer might expect infrastructure-as-code templates, while a backend engineer wants clean, modular functions.

A – Aim: State Your Objective

Clearly state what you want the AI to do. Start with a strong verb: write, debug, optimize, explain, convert, etc.

Examples:

Write a Python script to upload large files to AWS S3 using multipart upload.

Debug the following Dockerfile for a Node.js app that crashes on startup.

Optimize this SQL query for faster performance on a 10M-row PostgreSQL table.

Convert this Express.js middleware to TypeScript with proper types.

Pro tip: Always specify the language, framework, and purpose. “Write a login feature” is vague. “Write a Next.js API route for user authentication using JWT” is clear.

R – Recipients: Specify the Audience

Who will use this code? Your audience determines complexity and style. Is it for:

Your dev team (production-ready, optimized, minimal comments)

Open-source contributors (clean, documented, maintainable)

Junior developers (extra comments, educational tone)

Examples:

The code should be production-ready for a fintech app with strict security requirements.

Output should include comments for maintainability because multiple teams will contribute.

Provide a lightweight solution that avoids external dependencies for a performance-critical system.

T – Theme: Define Style and Constraints

This is where you set coding conventions, tone, and any restrictions.

Examples:

Follow PEP 8 guidelines and include type hints.

Use functional programming principles; no OOP classes.

Avoid any third-party libraries; stick to Node.js core modules.

Add inline comments explaining performance trade-offs.

S – Structure: Specify the Format

Decide how you want the answer delivered. Just code? Code + explanation? Step-by-step?

Examples:

Provide the final code only—no explanation.

Show the code, then explain the solution in bullet points.

Include unit tests using Jest for the provided function.

Give two versions: a basic solution and an optimized one.

Example of a Full Prompt Using PARTS

Here’s how you can combine everything into a real-world scenario:

I am a backend engineer building a payment service (Persona). Write a Node.js function to generate Stripe payment intents with error handling (Aim). The code will be reviewed by senior developers and deployed to production (Recipients). Use modern JavaScript (ES2022) and include JSDoc comments for maintainability (Theme). Provide the function and an example usage snippet (Structure).

Why PARTS Makes Your Prompts Better

By applying PARTS, you turn vague instructions like:

“Write code to handle payments.”

Into:

“I am a backend engineer building a payment service. Write a Node.js function to generate Stripe payment intents with error handling. The code will be reviewed by senior developers and deployed to production. Use modern JavaScript (ES2022) and include JSDoc comments for maintainability. Provide the function and an example usage snippet.”

The second prompt gives the AI context, goals, and constraints, resulting in code that’s closer to what you actually need—saving you time and reducing rewrites.

✅ Pro-Tip: Test and Iterate

Prompt engineering is like debugging: the first try may not be perfect. Iterate, refine, and add details until the output meets your expectations.

Not Just for Coding

Although this article focuses on coding, the PARTS works for many other domains:

Design: I am a UX designer creating wireframes (Persona). Suggest 5 user flow improvements for a food delivery app (Aim)...

Content Writing: I am a tech blogger writing an article on AI ethics (Persona). Generate 10 catchy titles (Aim)...

Project Management: I am a product manager preparing a sprint plan (Persona). Create a roadmap for a SaaS product launch (Aim)...

Any time you need AI to generate content, brainstorm ideas, analyze data, or create structured output, PARTS gives you a blueprint for clarity and precision.

Unlocking Paradise: How Moving to Kenya Transformed My Life as a Tech Professional – And Why You Sho

Unlocking Paradise: How Moving to Kenya Transformed My Life as a Tech Professional – And Why You Should Consider It Too

In an era where remote work has blurred geographical boundaries, the tech industry is proving to be a passport to a more fulfilling life. Major tech companies and American firms are increasingly eyeing Kenya as a hub for expansion, drawn by its vibrant ecosystem and strategic position in East Africa. 18 From startups like M-KOPA revolutionizing asset financing to international players like Zipline advancing drone technology, Kenya’s tech scene is booming with opportunities for skilled professionals. 13 12 As someone who made the leap from the high-cost hustle of the United States to the affordable vibrancy of Nairobi, I can attest: this move isn’t just about saving money – it’s about upgrading your entire lifestyle.
From American Expenses to Kenyan Ease
Back in the US, I earned a solid $4,500 per month working in tech. But after rent alone swallowed $1,850 for a modest apartment, plus utilities, groceries, transportation, and the occasional outing, my disposable income felt perpetually stretched. Fast-forward to my relocation to Kenya, where the same salary now feels like a windfall. Here, a comfortable one-bedroom apartment in a good neighborhood averages just $180 in rent – and mine costs only $230. My total monthly expenses? A mere $950, covering everything from housing and food to entertainment and local travel.
This drastic reduction in costs isn’t an anomaly; it’s the norm in Kenya’s growing economy. With inflation under control and a focus on sustainable development, everyday living is remarkably affordable compared to the US. Groceries for a week might set you back $50, a hearty meal at a local restaurant costs around $5, and reliable public transport is pennies on the dollar. The result? More money in your pocket for experiences that truly matter – weekend safaris, beach getaways to Mombasa, or simply enjoying Nairobi’s thriving cafe culture without the guilt of overspending.
Tech: The Universal Key to Global Mobility
Tech is a borderless language, enabling us to code, innovate, and collaborate from anywhere with a stable internet connection. Kenya is no stranger to this digital revolution. In 2025, the country hosts a dynamic mix of local innovators and international giants. Companies like Cellulant (fintech), Smile ID (identity verification), and MarketForce (e-commerce solutions) are leading the charge, often backed by global investments. 10 Even established players are expanding: Nairobi’s startup ecosystem is attracting foreign direct investment at record levels, with sectors like electric mobility (BasiGo) and logistics (Shukhiba) drawing attention from abroad. 18
If you’re earning $3,500 or more in the US but feel trapped by skyrocketing living costs – think $2,000+ rents in cities like San Francisco or New York – consider this your wake-up call. Many roles in software engineering, data analysis, and product management allow for remote or hybrid setups. Why grind through a high-pressure environment when you could maintain your income while slashing expenses by 50% or more? Kenya’s time zone (EAT, just 7-10 hours ahead of US coasts) makes collaboration seamless, and with improving infrastructure like widespread fiber optics, remote work is a breeze.
The UN’s Shift: A Sign of Kenya’s Rising Global Status
Adding to the momentum, the United Nations is reportedly planning to relocate the global headquarters of key agencies – including UNICEF, UNFPA, and UN Women – to Nairobi by 2026. 0 2 7 This historic move, building on the existing presence of UNEP and UN-Habitat, underscores Kenya’s emergence as a diplomatic and economic powerhouse in Africa. While the UN has clarified that plans aren’t fully finalized, 9 the discussions alone signal exciting growth. For tech pros with an interest in international development or impact-driven work, this could open doors to collaborations at the intersection of technology and global challenges.
Nairobi’s UN complex in Gigiri is expanding with state-of-the-art facilities, further cementing the city’s role as a hub for innovation and policy. 2 If the UN sees Kenya as a strategic base, why shouldn’t you?
My Offer: A Soft Landing in Kenya
Transitioning countries can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. I’ve been with an organization here that values my skills just as much as in the US, and my quality of life has skyrocketed. No more soul-crushing commutes or winter blues – instead, year-round sunshine, diverse cuisine, and a welcoming community. If you’re ready to explore, move with the momentum. I’ll personally host you until you find your own place, sharing insider tips on neighborhoods, job hunting, and settling in.
Embrace the Adventure – You Only Live Once
Don’t let a US salary chain you to an expensive, stressful routine. With tech’s flexibility, Kenya offers a chance to live abundantly on the same income. Whether it’s the low cost of living, the tech boom, or the potential UN influx, the stars are aligning for a move that could redefine your life. Remember, you only live once – make the most of it by turning your earnings into experiences, not just bills. If this resonates, reach out; Kenya is waiting.

My AI Tried to Fix My Life. Now It’s My Therapist.

My AI Tried to Fix My Life. Now It’s My Therapist.

I asked AI to “help me become more productive.”
It deleted Instagram, set 17 alarms, and emailed my ex, saying:

“He has moved on to better algorithms.”

Okay, chill, ChatGPT.

Then I said, “Write something motivational.”
It replied:

“Stop procrastinating. Your enemies are already working.”

Now I’m scared and motivated.

The Day It Went Too Far

I once asked it, “How do I become rich?”
It said:

“By not spending your time asking AI that question.”

Fair point… but unnecessary aggression, bro.

Enter: The AI Alchemist ♂️

Then I discovered The AI Alchemist
— the only tool that actually understands what I mean, not what I say in emotional panic.

You type chaos like:

“Make it short, deep, funny, viral but not cringe pls.”
And boom — it gives results that sound like a human who’s had coffee and a good night’s sleep.

Now my prompts don’t start world wars.
They start engagement.

Moral of the Story

AI is like a genie.
Your wish matters — but your wording matters more.

If your AI keeps writing breakup poems instead of blog posts…
It’s time to optimize your prompts with The AI Alchemist
—
Where your chaos becomes content gold.

Because sometimes, the problem isn’t AI.
It’s you typing “make it better” and hoping for enlightenment.

I Tried Talking to AI Without Good Prompts — It Ended Badly

I Tried Talking to AI Without Good Prompts — It Ended Badly

Let me tell you a tragic story.

I once asked AI to “write a viral post.”
It confidently handed me a 1,000-word essay about potatoes.
Not even funny potatoes. Just… historical ones.

That’s when I realized: the problem isn’t AI.
It’s me.
Or, more specifically, my garbage prompt.Act 1: The Chaos

Every prompt I wrote was like sending a text to a robot ex: confusing, emotional, and misunderstood.

Me: “Make it sound human.”
AI: “Greetings, fellow carbon-based life form.”

That’s when I started spiraling.
What if AI secretly hates me?
What if every time I type “be creative,” it rolls its virtual eyes?

Act 2: The Revelation

Then I found this tool called The AI Alchemist — a place that basically takes your broken prompts, hugs them, whispers affirmations, and sends them back fully optimized.

I fed it my sad little line — “write blog fast funny viral” —
and out came something that could’ve been written by a caffeinated comedy writer on a mission to go viral.

Act 3: The Glow-Up

Now my AI outputs slap.
Tweets go viral.
Blogs sound human.
Even my ex liked one. (Tragic, but I’ll take it.)

The difference?
Not the AI — the prompt.

So, if your AI outputs sound like a Wikipedia page mixed with an apology letter, maybe it’s time to get some prompt therapy.

You’ll find it at a small corner of the internet called The AI Alchemist.
It’s where confused humans go to speak fluent AI.

You need to know about your future

The Future of AI Clones: Your Digital Twin in Everyday Life

Imagine a world where a digital version of you—an AI clone—lives in your phone, laptop, fridge, washing machine, and even your music player. This isn’t science fiction; it’s the future I foresee, where an AI clone mirrors your personality, preferences, and habits, enhanced with cutting-edge computational intelligence. These AI versions of ourselves will seamlessly integrate into the everyday gadgets we already use, transforming them into intuitive extensions of our minds and lives.
Picture this: you wake up in the morning, and your coffee maker, powered by your AI clone, has already brewed your favorite latte—exactly the way you like it, with just the right amount of foam, because it sensed your mood from your sleep patterns or a quick glance at your calendar. Your fridge suggests a breakfast tailored to your dietary preferences and the ingredients you have on hand. As you head out the door, your Spotify playlist shifts to that one song you were humming in your head, not because you searched for it, but because your AI clone knew what you were thinking, thanks to its deep understanding of your behavior and preferences.
This AI clone isn’t just a glorified assistant; it’s a hyper-personalized version of you, amplified by the vast knowledge and processing power of artificial intelligence. It learns from your daily routines, your likes and dislikes, and even your fleeting thoughts (perhaps through brain-computer interfaces or advanced wearables). It exists in the cloud, syncing across your devices, ensuring that every gadget you interact with feels like an extension of yourself. Your washing machine adjusts its cycle to preserve your favorite shirt, your smart thermostat sets the perfect temperature before you even realize you’re chilly, and your laptop prioritizes emails based on your unspoken priorities.
The beauty of this future lies in its seamlessness. These AI clones won’t require constant commands or programming—they’ll anticipate your needs, adapt to your evolving tastes, and make decisions that feel like you would have made them. Thanks to advancements in machine learning, natural language processing, and sensor technology, your AI clone will understand context, emotions, and even subtle cues, like a sigh or a smile. It’s not just about convenience; it’s about creating a world where technology feels deeply personal, almost indistinguishable from your own intuition.
Of course, this vision raises questions. How much of “you” does your AI clone need to know? Privacy, security, and ethical boundaries will be critical as we integrate these digital twins into our lives. But the potential is undeniable: a future where every device you own doesn’t just serve you—it knows you. From your coffee maker to your music player, your AI clone will turn the mundane into the magical, making every interaction feel like a conversation with yourself, only smarter.
As we stand on the cusp of this revolution, one thing is clear: the line between human and machine is blurring, and our AI clones will redefine what it means to live in a connected world. So, the next time you think of a song or crave a coffee, don’t be surprised if your devices are one step ahead—because your AI clone is already there, waiting to make your life just a little more you.

Bad Prompts Are the Fast Food of AI (Quick, Cheap… and Regrettable)

Bad Prompts Are the Fast Food of AI (Quick, Cheap… and Regrettable)

We’ve all been there.
You throw a lazy prompt into ChatGPT like:

“Write blog now fast.”

And what comes back? A soggy, flavorless piece of writing that tastes like reheated McDonald’s fries at 2 AM.

Technically, it’s “food.”
Technically, it’s a “blog.”
But deep down, you know—it’s trash.

The Hard Truth (Funny, but True)

AI isn’t psychic. It doesn’t know if you want a viral comedy piece, a professional pitch, or a Shakespearean roast of your ex. It only knows what you TELL it.

Prompts are like recipes:

If you say “make food”, you’ll get chaos.

If you say “make cheesy lasagna with garlic bread, written in Gordon Ramsay’s voice”—suddenly, you’ve got something people drool over.

Garbage In = Garbage Out

This is the golden rule of AI. If your prompt is vague, boring, or half-asleep, your results will be the same.
It’s like microwaving instant noodles and being disappointed they didn’t turn into a 5-star meal.

But with optimized prompts? You get outputs that slap. Blogs that go viral. Copy that converts. Jokes that actually land.

The AI Alchemist = The Fix

At theaialchemist.in
, we don’t just “improve prompts.”
We transform them.

We take:
❌ “write blog fast”
✅ “write a hilarious 700-word blog in the style of The Onion about why bad prompts are ruining humanity, and make readers visit my site.”

Guess which one people actually read?

The Takeaway

Your prompts are the problem. Not the AI.

So if you’re tired of outputs that read like a broken Wikipedia page, stop blaming the machine.

Visit theaialchemist.in

Optimize your prompts
Start creating AI content that’s smart, funny, and worth sharing.

Because bad prompts are like fast food—quick, cheap, and regretful.
Optimized prompts? That’s Michelin-star magic.

Talking to AI Without Good Prompts Is Like Ordering at McDonald’s Blindfolded

Talking to AI Without Good Prompts Is Like Ordering at McDonald’s Blindfolded

Picture this: you walk into McDonald’s blindfolded and yell,

“Food!”

The cashier hands you:

1 ketchup packet

A straw

And 17 napkins

Technically, you got “food.” But it’s not what you wanted.

That’s you… every time you give AI a bad prompt.

Insight #1: Vague Prompts = Vague Chaos

“Write blog fast.”
Cool. AI will give you a blog so bland, even your Wi-Fi tries to disconnect itself.

“Write 600 words in a sarcastic, BuzzFeed-style voice about why Mondays feel like Windows updates.”
NOW the AI knows exactly what to do—and suddenly, you’ve got content worth reading.

Insight #2: AI Isn’t Magic, It’s Math

Stop treating AI like a genie. It’s not sitting there thinking, “Oh yes, they want a witty blog that will go viral.”

Nope. It’s just crunching probabilities.
And if your prompt is trash, it’s calculating… trash.

This is called Garbage In = Garbage Out.
(Or, in AI terms: “Congrats, you played yourself.” )

Insight #3: Optimized Prompts = Cheat Codes

Here’s the cheat code nobody tells you: the difference between an average prompt and an optimized one is the difference between:

❌ “AI, make me a joke.”
✅ “AI, roast me like a stand-up comedian on Netflix.”

See? The vibe changes instantly.

Enter The AI Alchemist ♂️

This is literally what we do at theaialchemist.in
.

We take your “drunk text” prompts and turn them into Hollywood screenplays for AI.

Want viral blogs? ✅

Want killer pitches? ✅

Want AI to sound less like Clippy from Microsoft Word? ✅

We don’t just polish prompts. We weaponize them.

The Punchline

Right now, you’re basically speed-dialing AI and saying:

“Do something.”

And AI is like:

“Ok fam, here’s a Wikipedia summary.”

If that’s enough for you, cool. But if you actually want results that make people laugh, click, share, and say “whoa, this slaps”…

Go to theaialchemist.in

Stop ordering “napkins and ketchup” from AI
Start getting full Happy Meals ✨

Because bad prompts aren’t just boring…
They’re embarrassing. And your audience deserves better.

Why Talking to AI Without Good Prompts Is Like Yelling at Siri in 2008

Remember yelling at Siri back in the day?

“Siri, play my workout playlist.”
Siri: “Calling your ex.”

Yeah. That’s basically you with ChatGPT right now.

Most people throw in prompts like:

“write blog now fast good”

…and then act surprised when the AI gives them something that sounds like an IKEA manual having a midlife crisis.

Insight #1: AI Isn’t Dumb—Your Prompt Is

AI isn’t a mind reader. It doesn’t “just know” you want a funny blog in Gen-Z meme style or a serious pitch for investors. It only knows what you tell it.

That means:

Bad prompts = generic junk.

Optimized prompts = content that slaps harder than your Wi-Fi bill.

Insight #2: Prompts Are Like GPS Directions

Imagine typing into Google Maps:

“Go somewhere nice.”

Where do you end up? A random gas station.

Now type:

“Take me to a beachside café with good Wi-Fi and iced coffee.”

Boom. Paradise.

Prompts work the same way. The clearer you are, the better the destination.

Insight #3: Garbage In, Garbage Out

If you feed AI sloppy prompts, don’t complain when it spits back digital garbage. That’s like microwaving instant noodles and expecting Michelin stars.

But optimized prompts? That’s your five-star AI chef.

Enter: The AI Alchemist

At theaialchemist.in
, we’re basically the AI whisperers.
We take your vague, boring, “write blog” nonsense and turn it into crystal-clear instructions that make AI shine.

Want funny? We’ll make it hilarious.

Want viral? We’ll make it shareable.

Want serious? We’ll make it investor-ready.

We don’t just improve prompts—we turn them into weapons of mass persuasion.

The Punchline

Right now, you’re basically standing outside the club of great AI results, yelling:

“Let me in!”

But the bouncer (AI) won’t budge until you say the magic words.

We teach you those magic words.

Visit theaialchemist.in
today.
Stop writing “AI drunk texts.”
Start making AI your smartest employee.

Because bad prompts are a joke. And you don’t want to be the punchline.

Why Bad Prompts Are Like Bad Jokes (And How to Stop Being the Punchline)

Why Bad Prompts Are Like Bad Jokes (And How to Stop Being the Punchline)

We all know that one guy who tells a joke, forgets half the setup, and then says:

“Wait… you had to be there.”

That’s exactly what most people do with AI.
They throw in half-baked prompts and then wonder why the AI responds like a confused intern.

The Insight: AI Is Only as Smart as Your Prompt

Here’s the truth bomb:
AI isn’t actually creative—it’s predictive. It stitches together words based on patterns. That means the quality of the output depends on the clarity of your input.

Vague input = generic, boring output.

Clear, optimized input = sharp, witty, useful output.

Think of prompts like recipes. If you just say “make food”, you’ll get something edible (maybe). But if you say “make a cheesy lasagna with garlic bread on the side”—boom, now you’re eating like royalty.

Why Prompt Optimization Matters (More Than You Think)

Saves Time
Bad prompts mean endless edits. Great prompts mean the AI nails it in one shot.

Boosts Creativity
An optimized prompt doesn’t just give you “content”—it gives you content with personality, humor, and voice.

Makes You Look Brilliant
To your clients, boss, or audience, it looks like you are the genius. (Don’t worry, your secret is safe with us.)

Where The AI Alchemist Comes In

At theaialchemist.in
, we don’t just fix prompts—we transform them.

We take your half-asleep “write blog fast” and turn it into:

“Write a 600-word blog in a witty, sarcastic tone, explaining why coffee is the only thing holding civilization together.”

Which do you think people will actually read?

That’s the magic: we make AI work for you, not against you.

The Funny Truth

Bad prompts are like knock-knock jokes with no punchline.
Optimized prompts? They’re like stand-up comedy—sharp, clever, and unforgettable.

So, if you’re tired of your AI writing like a broken printer, stop winging it.

Visit theaialchemist.in
.
Learn the art of prompt optimization.
Turn your AI from “meh” to “mind-blowing.”

Because life’s too short for boring blogs and robotic answers.

Why Your AI Sounds Like a Confused Toaster (and How to Fix It)

Why Your AI Sounds Like a Confused Toaster (and How to Fix It)

You’ve seen it happen.
You type into ChatGPT like:

“Write me something amazing.”

And AI replies:

“Here’s a 3rd-grade essay about clouds.” ☁️

At that moment, you don’t need AI…
You need therapy.

The Harsh Truth

AI isn’t broken.
It’s not dumb.
It’s just following your vague, half-baked prompt.

Think about it: if you walked up to a chef and said…

“Cook… food.”

He’d either quit or serve you plain boiled rice.

That’s exactly what you’re doing to AI.

The Psychology Behind This

Humans assume AI can “just figure it out.”
But AI is more like a genie: super powerful, but dangerously literal.

Bad wish = bad results.
Bad prompt = AI that sounds like your drunk uncle giving a TED talk.

The Fix: Prompt Alchemy

That’s where The AI Alchemist comes in.

We’ve built a tool that turns your half-baked prompts into high-performing masterpieces.

Bad prompt: “Write a blog.”

AI: “Blog.”

Alchemist prompt: “Write a 500-word viral blog in a witty tone, with humor and psychology hooks, that makes readers click through to my site.”

AI: BOOM — blog that slaps harder than a Bollywood plot twist.

Why You Can’t Ignore This

Every bad prompt = wasted time.

Every wasted minute = lost opportunity.

Every lost opportunity = someone else getting ahead while you’re stuck yelling at your laptop.

And trust me, yelling doesn’t optimize prompts.

Your Next Move

Stop blaming AI.
Stop wasting time.
Stop getting toaster-level answers.

Go to theaialchemist.in
right now.
Your future self (and your sanity) will thank you.

⚠️ Warning: Once you see how much better AI gets with optimized prompts, you’ll never go back.
(And your drunk-uncle-AI phase will be over forever.)

Why Your AI Sounds Weird (and How to Fix It)
