Introducing Quran Today: A New Chapter for Our Quran App

Tue, 21 Jul 2026 06:12:40 +0000

For the past few years, our Quran app was known as FastiQuran. It began as an experiment to build a fast, lightweight, and distraction-free Quran experience for Android.

Today, we're excited to announce a new chapter.

FastiQuran is now Quran Today.

This is more than a name change. It reflects our long-term vision of creating a Quran app that naturally becomes part of your daily life.

Why We Changed the Name

While FastiQuran emphasized speed and performance, we realized that our mission goes beyond technical excellence.

The name Quran Today represents a simple idea:

Open the Quran today. Read today. Reflect today. Live its guidance today.

It is easier to remember, more meaningful, and better communicates the purpose of the app.

What Stays the Same

Although the name has changed, our core principles remain unchanged.

Clean and minimalist reading experience.
Fast performance, even on older Android devices.
Completely ad-free.
Privacy-first by design.
A distraction-free interface focused entirely on the Quran.

Our goal has always been to let the Quran remain the center of attention—not the application itself.

What We're Building

Quran Today is designed to provide a modern Quran reading experience while respecting users' privacy.

Current and upcoming improvements include:

Improved reading performance.
Better Arabic typography and text rendering.
Material You support for Android.
Enhanced bookmarks and reading progress.
Multiple Quran translations.
Continuous accessibility and usability improvements.

Development is active, and we are committed to improving the app with every release.

Built with Privacy in Mind

Many modern mobile apps rely on advertising, analytics, and user tracking.

Quran Today follows a different philosophy.

We believe a Quran app should respect its users. That's why we minimize unnecessary data collection and focus on providing a reliable, privacy-first, offline-friendly reading experience.

Technology should serve people—not monitor them.
