It’s been a minute since I last posted here. I went heads-down into the trenches of building, and to be honest, I neglected this community while focusing heavily on LinkedIn.

But I’m back, and I brought something with me.

When I first shared Permi here, it was a basic CLI security scanner. Since then, based on feedback from data-protection lawyers, CISOs, and senior engineers, it has evolved massively.

## What Permi does now:

- **Nigerian-Specific Scanning:** Catches hardcoded BVNs, exposed Paystack/Flutterwave keys, USSD flaws, and PII in logs that global tools miss.
- **AI Noise Reduction:** Cuts out ~95% of false positives so you only see what's real.
- **Automated Compliance:** It maps findings to NDPA/CBN controls and generates an automated Excel Readiness Workbook (yes, it calculates the final compliance score and tracks evidence provenance).

## Why I’m posting:

I am moving into a critical beta phase. I don't just want downloads; I want technical feedback. I need developers and security folks to break it, test it, and tell me what’s missing.

## How you can help (Zero pressure):

### Option 1: Run it yourself

You can install it in a Python environment and run it on a staging/demo repo:

permi setup --api-key YOUR_API_KEY_HERE
permi scan ./your-codebase

(The API key is free from openrouter.ai for a few test calls).

Option 2: Let me run it for you

If you don't feel like setting it up, just drop a link to a public GitHub repo in the comments or DM me. I'll run the scan on my end and send you the PDF report + the automated Excel workbook.
