You Don’t Invent by Thinking Harder. You Invent by Interacting More.

For a long time, I imagined inventions as moments of sudden brilliance.

Someone thinks deeply, connects a few ideas, and suddenly has a breakthrough.

The more I learn and build, the less I think innovation works that way.

I’m starting to believe that many useful ideas come from interacting with a problem repeatedly and deeply enough to see things that were not obvious at first.

Innovation Starts With Curiosity

A problem usually begins with a simple question:

Why is this done this way?

Then another question appears.

Then another.

You read. You experiment. You make mistakes. You discover something new and go back to the original problem with a different perspective.

Over time, the problem changes in your mind.

You understand it differently.

And that is where new ideas can begin.

Building Changes the Way You Think

I have experienced this while building my AI Underwriter.

I did not start with a complete system or a perfect blueprint.

The project evolved as I interacted with the problem.

An underwriting question led me to explore alternative data. That led to telematics and rent-payment behaviour. Explainability raised questions about how model decisions should be communicated. Then came questions around audit trails, model governance, and the role of local AI.

I learned that building something can expose questions that reading alone would never reveal.

That has become one of the lessons I value most from the project.

Innovation Often Happens Between Fields

Another thing I have noticed is that innovation does not always come from one subject.

Sometimes it comes from combining things that already exist.

In my case, actuarial science gives me the risk perspective. Data science gives me ways to investigate and evaluate data. Programming allows me to turn ideas into working systems. AI and explainability introduce new ways of interacting with those systems.

The interesting part is what happens at the intersection.

That is where a familiar problem can start looking different.

The Sacrifice Is Mostly Attention

Innovation also requires something people do not always talk about: attention.

Learning a difficult concept takes time.

Debugging takes time.

Failed experiments take time.

Building and rebuilding takes time.

You have to spend more time with a problem than you normally would if you want to understand it deeply.

That does not mean sacrificing everything else in life. It means being willing to give a problem enough attention for your understanding to move beyond the surface.

For me, that has been one of the biggest lessons from building.

What I Have Learned

I used to think the important part was having a great idea.

Now I think the more important question is:

How deeply are you interacting with the problem?

The more you learn, build, test, question, and reflect, the more likely you are to notice connections that were invisible at the beginning.

My AI Underwriter is still unfinished, but that is part of the point.

Every new problem has taught me something that has changed the system.

And every change to the system has changed how I understand the problem.

The Lesson I'm Taking Forward

Maybe invention is not always a sudden moment of genius.

Maybe sometimes it is simply the result of curiosity sustained long enough to become understanding.

You start with a problem.

You keep interacting with it.

You learn something.

You build.

You fail.

You improve.

And somewhere along the way, you may create something that did not exist when you started.

That is the idea of innovation I am beginning to believe in — and it is one I am learning through building my own systems.

Author: Witold Warchoł

Date: 2.06.2026

See this paper for a more comprehensive version of this post.

Abstract

The Cognitive Fusion Mechanism (CFM) in Larkos integrates LLM embeddings, neuron states, and episodic memory into a shared 64-dimensional space. It ensures information preservation, stream balance, and deterministic reproducibility, enabling dynamic, context-aware reasoning. Empirical results demonstrate strong performance in learning efficiency, domain transfer, continual learning, and meta-learning, while maintaining stability and affective coherence.

Introduction

Current AI systems struggle with catastrophic forgetting, poor generalization, and inefficient adaptation. CFM addresses these by unifying heterogeneous information streams into a cohesive cognitive architecture, validated through a 9-test framework.

Core Architecture: Cognitive Fusion Mechanism (CFM)

Input Streams

LLM Query Stream: A dense embedding vector from the LLM (dimension matching the LLM's output), blended with text input embeddings at 50% strength.

Neuron Stream: A flattened vector representation of up to 8 active neurons, capturing state, output, connections, and topology.

Memory Stream: Up to 300 episodic entries, each containing:

A 22-dimensional vector (prior neuron states + external features).

Importance weight (alpha value).

Timestamp (tau value).

Projection Mechanism

Deterministic Random Projections: Maps arbitrary-dimensional inputs to 64 dimensions using a hash-style algorithm, ensuring:

Dense mixing (all input dimensions influence output).

No information loss (no blocking or striding).

Reproducibility (fixed seeds across runs).

Full Projection: Scales input by the inverse square root of the input dimension (Johnson-Lindenstrauss lemma).

Banded Projection: Projects streams into separate 16-dimension bands within the 64-dimensional output (seeds: 1009, 2003, 3001).

Processing Pipeline

LLM Query Processing: Project and normalize; blend with text input.

Neuron Feature Extraction: Project and normalize the flattened neuron vector.

Top-K Memory Attention: Select the top 8 most relevant memory entries by similarity; apply softmax normalization to scores.

Banded Assembly: Re-project each stream into separate 64-dimensional bands:

LLM: Dimensions 0-22

Neurons: Dimensions 22-43

Memory: Dimensions 43-64

Cross-Band Mixing: Introduce interactions between bands using sigmoid-modulated mixing.

Output Normalization: Layer-normalize the final vector.

Design Rationale

Deterministic Projection: The fusion mechanism is a feature extractor (not a learner); gradients are blocked at the fusion boundary.

Banded Architecture: Prevents stream dominance (e.g., neurons or memory overwhelming LLM queries).

Top-K Memory Attention: Ensures focused, informative attention (avoids averaging noise uniformly).

Orthogonal Subspaces: Separate seeds for each band guarantee stream independence.

Key Results

CFM enables robust, interpretable, and adaptive cognitive modeling by unifying LLM embeddings, neuron states, and memory. It addresses catastrophic forgetting, poor generalization, and inefficient adaptation, paving the way for human-like AI systems. Future work will focus on scaling and refining exploration-exploitation balance.

Exploring New Technologies Through Modern Web Application Development

The digital industry is entering a new phase where technology is evolving faster than ever before. Web applications are no longer simple online platforms; they are becoming intelligent systems designed to automate processes, improve communication, and create advanced user experiences.

As developers, we are constantly exploring new technologies and building applications based on current trends and future demands. Innovation-driven development is now the foundation of successful digital products. Businesses are searching for solutions that are smart, scalable, secure, and user-friendly at the same time.

Modern web development is now deeply connected with AI, automation, cloud computing, and advanced integrations. These technologies are transforming how applications are designed and how users interact with them. Applications that once required manual operations are now becoming fully automated systems capable of handling complex tasks efficiently.

One major advantage of exploring new technologies is the ability to create customized solutions for different industries. From business management systems to smart dashboards and AI-powered tools, developers can now build platforms that solve specific challenges with greater accuracy.

Performance is another major focus in modern applications. Users expect websites and platforms to load instantly and work smoothly across all devices. Fast performance and responsive design are now critical factors for digital success. A slow or outdated application can quickly lose users in today’s competitive environment.

Security and data protection are also becoming more important every year. As online platforms continue to grow, cyber risks are increasing as well. Developers must build systems with strong protection layers to ensure safe and reliable user experiences. A secure application creates trust, and trust builds long-term success.

Technology trends continue to change rapidly, and developers who keep learning will always stay ahead. Exploring new frameworks, tools, and systems allows us to create better digital experiences and smarter applications for the future.

The modern technology era belongs to developers who are ready to innovate, adapt, and build solutions based on real-world needs. Every new project is an opportunity to learn something new and push technology one step further.

Building Trend-Driven Web Applications for the Modern Digital Era

The world of technology is changing faster than ever, and developers are now expected to create solutions that are not only functional but also smart, scalable, and future-ready. Modern web applications are no longer simple websites they are becoming intelligent platforms that solve real-world problems in real time.

As a developer, I continuously explore new technologies and experiment with innovative ideas to build applications that match current market demands. From AI-powered systems to automation tools and advanced security integrations, every project is designed with performance, user experience, and adaptability in mind.

Today’s users expect speed, simplicity, and reliability. That is why modern web development now focuses heavily on responsive design, cloud-based architecture, API integration, and real-time communication systems. A successful application is not only visually attractive but also highly efficient behind the scenes.

I believe the future belongs to developers who can quickly adapt to technological changes. Exploring frameworks, testing modern stacks, and integrating intelligent systems are now part of daily development culture. Innovation is no longer optional it is the core of digital survival.

One exciting part of modern development is building applications based on real-life situations and current trends. Whether it is automation dashboards, security platforms, AI utilities, or business management systems, each project becomes an opportunity to solve practical challenges. Technology becomes powerful when it directly improves people’s daily activities.

Another important aspect is web security. As online platforms continue to grow, security systems are becoming essential for every application. Modern developers must think beyond design and functionality. Protecting user data and creating secure environments is now a major responsibility in development.

The rise of AI tools and smart automation has also transformed how applications are developed. Developers now use intelligent systems to increase productivity, improve decision-making, and create better user experiences. AI is helping developers build faster, smarter, and more scalable solutions than ever before.

The future of web development will continue to evolve with technologies like machine learning, cloud computing, real-time analytics, and decentralized systems. Developers who continue learning and experimenting will always stay ahead in this competitive industry. Continuous learning is the real key to long-term success in technology.

Beaver Strategy: Niche Construction

Two-thirds of the wetlands in New York's Adirondack Mountains were built by a thirty-kilogram rodent. Not shaped. Not influenced. Built. Ecologists call this niche construction: organisms don't just adapt to their environment -- they modify it.

The Constructor's Advantage

A 2021 review by Brazier et al. in WIREs Water quantified what a single beaver colony does to a watershed. Dam sequences store up to 87% of all sediment at reach scale. One 1.8-hectare site stored 100 tonnes of sediment, 16 tonnes of carbon, and a full tonne of nitrogen. Remove the dams and flow velocity spikes 81%.

Researchers estimated beaver ecosystem services at roughly $684 per hectare per year. The capital expenditure is zero. A beaver builds with whatever's growing on the bank.

The Neglected Process

Odling-Smee, Laland, and Feldman argued that organisms impose non-random bias on their own selection pressures. They don't just inhabit niches -- they build them.

The most vivid human example: lactase persistence. Humans didn't evolve to drink milk and then domesticate cows. Humans domesticated cows, and that changed which humans thrived. Multiple independent mutations arose separately on different continents, each driven by the same niche-constructing behavior.

The Blue Ocean Parallel

Kim and Mauborgne studied 108 companies: 86% red ocean moves, 14% blue ocean. That 14% generated 38% of revenues and 61% of profits -- roughly 4.4x more profitable per launch.

Cirque du Soleil eliminated animal acts, added theatrical storytelling, shifted the target from children to adults. Revenue grew 22x. Nintendo stripped out graphics, added motion controls, attracted non-gamers. The Wii outsold PS3 and Xbox 360 combined.

The Deeper Pattern

The 87% sediment storage and the 61% profit capture tell the same structural story: the constructor captures disproportionate value in the system it builds.

Ecological inheritance maps directly to strategic inheritance. AWS launched cloud computing in 2006 and reshaped every developer's mental model. Even if AWS disappeared, the cloud-native world it constructed would persist.

The Red Queen Reminds Us

Niche construction is not a permanent escape from competition. It's a head start. Blue oceans turn red. But beavers don't build one dam and retire. They continuously maintain, repair, extend, and rebuild. Continuous niche construction isn't a single strategic move -- it's an operating posture.

What the Beaver Knows

The conventional question: How do we win in this market? Niche construction suggests a different question: What environment could we build, and what would thrive in it?

The beaver doesn't study other beavers' dams. It finds a stream and starts building.

Securing the Smile: Why Dental Systems Must Adopt Sovereign Security Trends

I. The Core Thesis (The Apex)

To protect sensitive patient data in 2026, web-based dental management systems must shift from reactive security to proactive resilience. By integrating Zero Trust, Decentralized Identity, and Privacy-Preserving AI, clinics move beyond "fancy" interfaces to architectures that are mathematically incapable of compromising individual privacy.

II. Eliminate the "Castle" Fallacy with Zero Trust

The traditional perimeter-based security model—where we assume safety once inside the network—is obsolete. In a modern clinic, a single stolen credential should not lead to a total database breach.

The Strategic Shift: Transition to Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), where every request—whether from the dentist, the hygienist, or the front desk—is continuously authenticated and authorized.

The Impact: Implementing Micro-segmentation ensures that a breach in the administrative scheduling module does not grant lateral access to clinical records or sensitive X-ray data.
III. Decentralize Identity to Reduce Liability

Storing thousands of patient credentials creates a "honeypot" for attackers. The ultimate security strategy is simple: if the clinic does not hold the master keys, it cannot lose them.

The Strategic Shift: Adopt Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and patient-controlled "Digital Wallets."

The Impact: Patients grant temporary, cryptographic access permissions for specific sessions. The clinic fulfills its duty of care without becoming a permanent custodian of vulnerable master credentials.
IV. AI-Driven Privacy via "Librarian" Ethics

Data analysis is vital for clinic efficiency and business growth, but raw data access remains a massive liability.

The Strategic Shift: Leverage Differential Privacy and Federated Learning to gain administrative insights.

The Impact: Your system provides business intelligence (such as peak hours or equipment utilization) by adding mathematical "noise" to the dataset. This allows for accurate management statistics without ever "seeing" or exposing an individual patient's private identifiers.
V. Conclusion: Future-Proofing with Post-Quantum Rigor

Dental records are long-term assets, often required to be stored for a decade or more. Standard encryption today will likely fail against future quantum computing threats.
The Bottom Line: Real innovation isn't just about moving management online; it's about building a Sovereign Bureau for health data. By integrating Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and decentralized protocols, we prioritize the patient's identity over the clinic's convenience, ensuring data remains secure for the next generation.

Which of these security pillars are you prioritizing for your 2026 builds? Let’s discuss the transition to decentralized health tech in the comments below.

# Dynamically Generated Languages Solve the Same Class of Problems as MCP Servers — and Do It Better

After battle-testing these ideas in practice, here is my conclusion:

Centralized interaction and intent architectures are inevitable.
The only real question is whether we build them as formal systems or probabilistic agents.

From Clicking and Scrolling to Invoking Capabilities

User interaction is moving away from clicking and scrolling and toward invoking capabilities directly, most notably via voice.

This shift is powerful:

If you can name a capability, you can invoke it

Interaction becomes direct

UX complexity drops dramatically

From a UX-complexity standpoint, this is a clear win.

However, this change forces a fundamental architectural shift compared to traditional frontend setups.

React and the Problem of Distributed Capabilities

Consider a typical React application.

In React:

Capabilities are exposed through components

Components expose behavior via props and callbacks

Capabilities are therefore distributed by construction

There is no centralized place where “what the system can do” exists.

Trying to centralize this in React quickly reveals deep friction:

Hooks produce unstable references across renders

Central registries must constantly re-register handlers

Context-based solutions become brittle and stateful

Unsubscribing DOM listeners requires the exact same function reference

That reference is often no longer available or stable

Yes, you can build a capability registry on top of React.

But it is:

Clunky

Hard to reason about

Tightly coupled to rendering lifecycle

Architecturally inverted

All of this is a strong signal:
centralized capability invocation does not belong inside the UI layer.

Centralization Is Not Optional

Now compare this with a system like the Visual Studio Code command palette.

VS Code exposes:

A centralized

Runtime-configurable

Discoverable

Uniform command surface

Once a command is registered:

It does not matter where it lives

It does not matter which UI triggered it

It can be invoked uniformly

This is not an accident.
It is a capability-first architecture.

The Natural Conclusion: A Decoupled Capability Layer

What naturally follows is a module that:

Is decoupled from the frontend

Has no dependency on UI frameworks

Accepts voice or textual input

Emits discrete, authorized commands

At first glance, this smells like parsing.

And that is exactly what it is — with one important caveat.

This Is Parsing — Not AI

Traditional parsing assumes:

Full input available upfront

A lexing phase

A parsing phase

A final AST

User interaction does not work this way.

For voice and interactive input we need:

Incremental parsing

Partial feedback

Real-time guidance

Asynchronous evaluation

This is not AI.

This is asynchronous parsing.

That distinction matters.

MCP Servers and the Core Problem

MCP servers attempt to solve a similar problem:

Centralized capability invocation

Access via natural language

Location-agnostic execution

In practice:

Once a capability is integrated, its origin no longer matters

If you can name it, you can invoke it

On the surface, this sounds ideal.

It is not.

Why Informal Invocation Is Dangerous

MCP-style systems rely on:

NLP → mapping informal language to formal side effects

Agents → which can and do hallucinate

This creates a fundamental mismatch:

Informal input

Formal consequences

The moment real side effects exist, you must introduce:

Authorization

Capability scoping

Denial rules

Auditability

At that point, you are already rebuilding a formal system.

Languages Are Formal Systems

Languages:

Are minimal

Are precise

Can be syntactically close to natural language

Support deterministic navigation

Enable runtime introspection (autocomplete, discovery)

Most importantly:

Languages allow relational identification.

Objects are identified not by name alone, but by their position in a capability topology.

This is strictly stronger than nominal invocation.

Relational Navigation Beats Nominal Invocation

LLMs are good at resolving names.

They are bad at:

Systematic search

Relational exploration

Topological disambiguation

A formal language enables:

Search through capability graphs

Context-aware narrowing

Progressive discovery

Authorization by construction

This is not “autocomplete”.

This is relational observation over a formal structure.

The Implementation Is Already Known

Asynchronous parsing is not new.

Generators:

Exist in JavaScript for over a decade

Are foundational in operating systems

Are widely used in parsers and schedulers

They are exactly the right abstraction:

Incremental

Stateful

Deterministic

Interruptible

Nothing exotic is required.

The Critical Difference

The most important outcome of such a system is this:

It can correctly deny you access.

This places it in a completely different category than LLM-driven systems.

LLMs aim to be helpful.
Formal systems aim to be correct.

When invoking real capabilities, correctness wins.

Closing

Dynamically generated languages and centralized capability graphs solve the same class of problems as MCP servers.

They do so:

Deterministically

Safely

Transparently

With better UX

And with lower long-term complexity

This is not the future of “AI interfaces”.

This is the future of intent architecture.

The missing development metric - UX complexity

While everyone, ok not every one is talking about computational complexity. Especially in high level languages with accent to functional programming.Recomputation is the name of the game. So even on that
old topic a lot could be said. But UX complexity - the cost of interaction
as arguably the most important metric and its not yet a termed metric.
Let's face it, if you nailed UX complexity, you nailed computational complexity long ago.

Innovation in UX is educational process

Yes we hear designers bragging about one click less UX experience. Yet they use standardized component libraries and expected UX patterns. Not much to invent, a lot to be careful about! It’s almost like innovative design is discouraged. And if you ever payed attention how people of age of higher number use their devices
you start to realize educating people on UX principles is driven, multiple decades long education process. First they were inspired by the idea of free
of cost calls, now they play candy crush .

Current state of UX

But if we step back even more, and see the UX of entire systems then clarity comes so easily. We do this to dig out problems and pain point I want to talk about. UX is

fragmented

locking

Fragmented as UX is resembling more a corporate structure than intent of the user. Instead of sending a message being designed around UX of sending a message. It is designed around who owns the platform and what is the business model. There is nothing UX focused about that. Its all encompassing fragmentation of the system called "app store".

Current architecture is paas like. You have provider of platform - infrastructure (master). Then you have app fragmentation not caring a slightest bit about the user and intent. Then you have locking experiences in form
of feeds, scrolls, hooks, notification pings and so on.

O(n) UX

Now scrolling is o(n) experience of UX where user is compelled to scroll like that pigeon with that button. And sadly, we all know how quickly
time is traded in that trans like state. o(n) experience is unacceptable in any
other areas as well. We all scrolled a gallery and after scrolling few hundred
photos overscrolled past the photo like overlooking a food pot in fridge pointed by spouse. In one word, one emoji, trash ️

O(log n) UX

Menus are o(log n) and I must compel you they too are not good enough.
They are obviously miles ahead of scrolling, but lets see how avoiding them
will make your life easier.
When I think menus I think - specialized software. Gimp, blender, and alike.
Those kind of softwares still require specialized professional. Is that not
all the proof we need? I mean, I can edit a photo but its like an elephant
in glass store. To work effectively in that kind of software one must develop
muscle memory. Productive work needs muscle memory. And this is more important
then you think. There is subconscious aversion if time to express your self
and time to think of what you want to express have too wide gap.
Most accessible example is browsing on a slow connection. After 5 minutes you just
don't want to do it. Its the exact same story when im trying to edit a photo.
If i could just access the function (blur the damn photo)without clicking through menus and knowing particular specifics of the software,
and developing muscle memory for all that, I too could edit a photo. Because in the end I know the result, I know what arguments to achieve it.
The only thing preventing me is the UX. It might be seen as a skill issue, but it is not. It is a UX issue.

Another example is scrolling through a file tree if you are a coder.
Here I proclaim.

Never scroll through a file tree. It makes you a coding monkey

Disable that part of the IDE. It is a bad habit. A waste of time.
You have so many more ways to access a location then scrolling through a file tree. It is disastrous degradation of log complexity into linear.
And it is never worth scrolling and always better using something else.
But on this topic I will write a separate log.

O(1) UX - the dream

So lets conclude this log entry by simply staying with the dream a while longer.

We want to be able to command the system in any reach of our comprehension

Now this is a dream envisioned in the movies and that iris episode of black mirror. AI chats kind of know what you want and they do provide wide range of
solutions. We see more and more chat driven interfaces. But even that... response waits aint fun.

So o(1) user experience complexity. I just think and the system knows what I want. What ever I want to refer to I can in constant time of user expression.

Search engines kind of do this but you know:

marketing

third party interests

...

If you don't know what you are searching for, either by name or by link, you are screwed. Something is missing. Stick around for some of the next logs where I will explore this dream further.
