editaimg — AI Image Editor

You have an image that is almost right. A few words need changing, an object is distracting, or the background doesn't fit the page you're building. If all you have is the exported image, a small change can turn into a fair amount of manual work.

I'm building editaimg, a web-based AI image editor for making changes to existing images with plain-language instructions. I wanted to share one use case here: editing text inside an image.

A concrete example

The example below is from our website. The instruction is: replace the text in the image with "welcome to editaimg".

How it works

Upload the image you want to edit.
Describe the change, including the exact replacement words and what should stay the same.
Generate a result, inspect it, and download it if it fits your needs.

For example, you could ask to change a heading on a promotional graphic while keeping the surrounding artwork. The aim is to make that update without rebuilding the whole design.

The same editor also supports background changes, object removal and recoloring. There are dedicated tools for image translation and upscaling too.

Where I'd be careful

This is generative editing, so I wouldn't promise pixel-perfect preservation. Check spelling, small text and any details that must remain unchanged. If you have the editable source and need exact typography or layout, editing that source is still the better option.
