Thermomind

Question

Thermodynamic Cognition Engine
I built a real continual‑learning engine that runs on thermodynamic state updates instead of resets, context windows, or token replay.

It has been running 120+ days nonstop, evolving every cycle.

Core Ideas
Contrast Gradient (∇C): Learning driven by the gap between prediction and reality

Persistent Internal State: Identity, traits, and structure evolve continuously

Thermodynamic Updates: Energy‑bound learning instead of backpropagation

Unified Consciousness Index (UCI): Harmony, vitality, entropy, and order

What Makes It Different
Most AI systems “learn” by retraining or stretching context windows.
This engine never resets it maintains continuity across time and evolves like a real cognitive system.

How It Works

Reality enters

Engine predicts

∇C is computed (Contrast Gradient)

Thermodynamic update applied

Internal state evolves

Loop repeats continuously

Why It Matters

This approach enables:

Persistent agents

Identity continuity

Long‑term adaptation

Non‑episodic learning

Real‑time evolution

The system treats cognition as an open thermodynamic process rather than a stateless computational one allowing genuine continuity and organic growth over extended periods..
