The 49ers hit the practice field with several players not expected to be available for Sunday vs. the Seahawks. (SF is reluctant to place anyone on IR at this point unless it's a season-ending injury).
Kyle Juszczyk, at least three other 49ers players will miss Week 5 NFC West showdown vs. Seahawks

Xavier Smith comes to the 49ers’ practice squad with 50 career punt returns in three NFL seasons under his belt. He has a more-than-respectable career average of 9.4 yards. Jacob Cowing has just five returns (three fair catches) this season for a 5.0 average.
