The Nintendo Switch 2 appears to be getting a Dragon Ball game, according to a leaked rating from the Saudi Arabia ratings board. Based on a now deleted post on X, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. An exact date for the game releasing on the Switch 2 is still unknown, but the rating may indicate an upcoming 2025 release.

The post about Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was first spotted on X on the official account for the General Authority of Media Regulation in Saudi Arabia. The posting was then shared on reddit, where it got a lot of attention online. Many Dragon Ball fans appeared excited at what they believed to be an impending announcement of the game being brought over to Nintendo's new console. Despite being shared many times before it was deleted off X, no official confirmation from Bandai Namco about the game being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2 has come out.

Dragon Ball on Nintendo Switch 2

Super saiyan action on Nintendo's next console?

Upon its original release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero had a positive reception from both fans and critics. The game was praised for its large roster of playable characters from throughout the Dragon Ball series, as well as its cinematic battles with a wealth of transformations and special attacks.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero covers the majority of story lines and major arcs from the entire series. At the same time, not everyone was happy with the difficulty spikes in some battles during the game's story mode. But for many who played the many different Dragon Ball-related titles over the years, there was enough to dive into and enjoy that overshadowed any shortcomings.

The Nintendo Switch 2 was finally revealed recently, with preorders for the consoles going live in April 2025. But since that reveal, no official confirmation of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero being on the console has been made by Bandai Namco, nor has any other Dragon Ball game been revealed for the Switch 2.

It's possible that this may have been an announcement coming very soon, which the Saudi Arabia General Authority of Media Regulation may have accidentally revealed a bit too early. One thing is for certain, Dragon Ball fans are ready to throw kamehameha attacks on the Nintendo Switch 2 anytime.
