This release focuses on performance, stability, security, and UI improvements, along with new configuration options and a number of fixes.

🐛 Fixes

This release also includes fixes for Redis storage, FPM bulk restart, mobile Safari, Archive play links, XC ID filtering, bouquet links, EPG matching, device restrictions, Watch Folder deletion, and several other smaller issues.

TV Archive via Nginx requires reconfiguration to enable.

1-Stream 2.2.0 is out – First stable release for PHP 8.5

The latest stable version of 1-Stream is now available.

This is a pretty big release, with a lot of work going into UI improvements, database performance, system stability, and infrastructure updates.

Some of the highlights:

  • Updated to PHP 8.5 and newer PHP libraries

  • Laravel 8 → Laravel 12

  • Major UI improvements across Transcoding Profiles, Devices, Channels, Providers, Radios, Groups, VOD tools, Performance Templates, Video Redirects, and more

  • Improved performance for Sync with Package and line activity updates

  • Added database partitioning for security_logs and streams_stats

  • Improved frozen stream detection

  • Improved Nginx rewrite rules

  • Added Nginx HTTP/3 support

  • Added ASN Group Lock

  • Added push notification support

  • Added automated Update EPG device events

  • Added a separate Video Redirect option for disabled lines

  • New API endpoints and improvements to existing API functionality

  • Improved Watch Folder and TMDB handling

  • Better M3U importing and VOD processing

  • A large number of UI, validation, import, performance, and stability fixes

There are also quite a few smaller improvements and fixes included in this release, so the full changelog is worth checking out if you're running a larger setup.

⚠️ Important before updating

2.2.0 is the first stable release for PHP 8.5.

  • Requires Ubuntu 22.04 or newer

  • Do not proceed if you're running Ubuntu 20

  • Nginx has been updated to 1.30.2

  • HTTP/3 support requires a reinstall

  • Plugins should be reinstalled using the latest downloads from the Client Area

Updating

On your Main Server, run:

curl -o- https://billing.1-stream.com/downloads/run_update_from_83.sh | bash

The installation may take a few minutes.

Log file:

/install_balancer_complete.log

Once the BO becomes available, click Install on the remaining servers.

After updating, reinstall your plugins using the latest versions available in the Client Area.

As always, make sure you have your backups in place before performing a major update.
