Book List
These are the books I've read so far in 2006

Bee Season- Myla Goldberg ( not bad, but better than okay. Different than my usual )

Goodnight Nobody- Jennifer Weiner ( nice and fluffy. We all need a little fluff in our lives. )

The Time Traveler’s Wife- Audrey Niffenegger ( didn’t want it to end )

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time- Mark Haddon ( good. I read it less than a day. )

My Sister’s Keeper- Jodi Picoult ( very good. read pretty quickly. Must say that it is just wrong for a book to end that way. So sad. )

The Myth of You & Me- Leah Stewart ( Really, really liked this. Read it in a couple of hours. )

Maybe A Miracle- Brian Strause ( Really liked it. Didn’t think I was going to at first. Almost gave it up, but didn’t. It’s different and very interesting. )

Size 12 is not Fat- Meg Cabot ( Kind of stupid, but still good. If I had to see I mean residence hall one more time I would have had to start screaming! I know what she meant though- I had to stop calling it a dorm when I was in college too. And her being size 12 didn’t have anything to do with much of anything in the story. Would make a good movie, probably. )

Anyone But You – Jennifer Crusie ( Cute fun and easy to read. )

The Wonder Spot – Melissa Bank ( I don’t know. I don’t even know if it was good or bad. Well, I didn’t not like it. )

The Tenth Circle- Jodi Picoult ( This woman just doesn’t believe in happy endings, does she? )

Rose of No Man’s Land- Michelle Tea ( Good enough. Kind of fascinating, because I’ve never read anything quite like it before. But there was no ending. The story just stopped. )

User Id- Jenefer Shute ( Very easy to read, very modern and bit scary- if Id theft didn’t scare you before it will now. )

The Girl’s Guide to Hunting and Fishing- Melissa Bank ( Lots of similarites with The Wonder Spot, which I did end up liking. Liked this one too. Except one thing- I didn’t get what the chapter about Nina Solomon had to do with anything else in the book and why there was no more about any of it. I may have missed something, but I don’t think I did. ( I know understand almost a week later that it’s supposed to be short stories, as was Wonder Spot, but still, the chapter about Nina Solomon and her family doesn’t belong. And Melissa Bank needs to make it clearer that they are supposed to be short stories.)

Slightly Engaged- Wendy Markham ( mindnumbingly easy to read. possible that it could actualy suck your brain out of your head. Neither good or bad. )

The Every Boy- Dana Adam Shapiro ( odd little book )

The Memory of Running- Don McLarty (I don’t think I could ever write anything adequate enough to describe this book. This may be the best book I’ve ever read. I just love it so much. I think I will have to buy a copy and find the genius man who wrote this and get an autograph.

Does anyone else's HGTV have volume that goes up and down big time on it's own? A lot of times I can't watch that channel because it drives me nutso! ( admittedly a short drive ) It's not just my house or even just my neighborhood, but what about you?

May I ask of someone who might know? Why do people back into parking spaces? It makes no sense. Is it so hard to look behind you and back out? Unless there's something wrong with your neck or upper body, but don't you have to make the same movements with your body to back into the space? Myself, I find it much harder to back into a space than out but it's very possible I'm missing something.
