Another child’s body was pulled from under the rubble in the evening, Ukraine’s interior ministry said, bringing the death toll up to 19.
Pryluky, around 150 kilometers (93 miles) east of Kyiv in the Chernihiv region, was among several Ukrainian cities targeted in Russia’s overnight missile and drone barrage.
The attack killed at least 25 people nationwide, including five children, and damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.
A Russian missile hit a five-story apartment building in Pryluky, causing a large section of the structure to collapse. Emergency crews were deployed to search the rubble for survivors.
The State Emergency Service initially reported four people killed and 20 injured, including three children. The death toll later rose to 19, including five children, while 55 people were injured, including seven children.
Fifteen people were rescued from the site, including one child. Rescue workers continue to clear the destroyed structure and search for anyone who may still be trapped.
The overnight barrage also targeted Kyiv and Kremenchuk.

In Kyiv, Russian forces launched ballistic missiles in several waves, with the first salvo arriving shortly after 3 a.m. Two people were killed, while impacts and fires were reported in several districts.
In Kremenchuk, Russian missiles and drones damaged apartment buildings and private homes. Two people were killed and seven injured, according to local authorities.
Zelensky said Russia knows it is striking ordinary Ukrainian cities and civilian life, calling the continued missile attacks a deliberate choice of terror.
“This is exactly what Moscow chooses despite all our efforts with our partners to bring peace closer,” he said, calling for increased pressure on Russia and more military aid for Ukraine.
