Number Analogy Questions

In this type of analogy, numbers are given in pairs or groups. You need to identify the relationship between them and use the same relationship to find the missing number or group of numbers.

Relation between 563:7

(5+6+3) / 2 = 7

So, (1+9+6)/2 = 8

Relation between 5/6: 48/58

The unit digit remains the same, while the tens digit is one less than the original numerator or denominator.

Example:

  • 5 → 48

Relation between 14675: 36897. Add two to all the digits of the first term to get the second element.

So, 35275: 57497.

Relation between 441 and 425: After subtraction of both numbers, we get 16, which is the square of 4.

So, 484: 459.

Subtract the square root of the first number squared.
