2 Different Body Safety books
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2024I noticed that Adrian Laurent had 2 different Body Safety books. One with Tim and one with this girl. There wasn't much out there about the girl book so I couldn't decide which. After having it, I feel like the girl book mentions:
-Why a girl may not want to stand up for herself
-Labels private body parts
-Uses body bubble as an idea
- mentions doctors
Tim's book seems to:
- Give an alternative to a hug
- mentions what to do if someone doesn't stop when asked (tell an adult)
- the uncomfortable body signs differ
- talks about a safety circle of adults
-does label privates
While I like aspects of this one...I have a similar one already and I like how Tim's mentions what to do if someone doesn't stop and having a core group of adults to go to. Both are good in different ways.

Good "My Body" introduction.
Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2022This book is a good tool to use when discussing with a young child their very own rights for their very own body and space around that body.
The illustrations are colorful and appealing. There are a couple of pages without words that confused me but that was not enough to take away a star for a good book. For future books I might consider softening the text books somehow.
