You learn to leave work at 4pm to make sure you're on time for a 5:30 daycare pickup, even though it's only one bus that takes 20 minutes to get to daycare. You just never know when it's going to show up. Both my work and daycare were a 5 minute walk from the transitway.

Sounds a lot like parents who are paying by the minute for late daycare pick ups and have zero control. I can't imagine the crushing anxiety a single working parent would feel taking OC Transpo from work to pick up kids from daycare on time.
