egyptian cotton please

i was wondering, whats the best type of shirt to use in order to get whatever im printing to Stay on the page? like... if i bought some of that printing/glue paper stuff, and printed some of my artwork off of the computer..... or is that not the best way to go? im really excited to get going with this kinda stuff, but dont want to get too discouraged when i screw everythign up my first time.
