Police in Patong arrested a man in a hotel room on Phra Baramee Road after uncovering a significant haul of narcotics and cash during a targeted operation.
The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that police carried out the raid as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and outstanding warrants. The suspect was found in possession of 903 methamphetamine pills, 11.73 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice), and 70,000 baht in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Authorities charged the man with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell, trafficking for commercial purposes, and illegal consumption of methamphetamine. Following the arrest, the suspect and seized evidence were transferred to Patong Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
