Your payments profile securely stores your legal, payment and tax information in one place. Itâs associated with all your Google services and products like Google Ads, Google Cloud, Google Analytics and more.
Your payments profile is like an umbrella held above your payment accounts. Each payments account manages the billing activities for a specific Google product or service. A payments account acts as a dedicated folder for a specific billing relationship. It connects your business and a particular Google product account.
For example, if you have a Google Cloud account, a Google Analytics account, and a Google Ads account, youâll have 3 payments accounts. Youâll have one single payments profile that houses those 3 payments accounts.

What's in your payments profile
Your payments profile stores information like:
- Who pays: The name and address of the person or company legally responsible for the profile
- What you pay with: Stored payment methods
- Account type: Organization (most profiles) or Individual. This setting impacts taxes and verification.
- Tax information: Your tax status and ID, when legally required
- Contacts: The names and contact information for the people associated with the profile, along with their permissions level
- Document language: The language you selected for your invoices and statements (if selection is unavailable, itâs the official language of your billing country)
Visit the Google payments center for a full overview of your payments profile. If you manage multiple payments profiles, select one from the drop down menu in the top right.
How your payments profile works with different payment settings
Your payments profileâs functionality depends on your payment setting.
Ads accounts on the postpay or prepay payment settings
A payments profile will be automatically set up when you create your Google Ads account. It is important to indicate the correct account type, whether the account belongs to an Individual or an Organization.
Majority of customers on postpay and prepay can re-use the same payments profile across multiple Ads accounts. Each Ads account is tied to its own unique payments account.
If you have Admin or an Edit Payments profile permission on the payments profile, you should be able to easily edit your payments profile information:
- Address or tax ID: To update your address or tax information like GST or VAT, follow the steps in the Edit your payments profile account article.
- Account type: To change your account type between Individual and Organization, follow the steps in the Change your account type article.
- Manage users: To add or edit users in your payments profile, follow the steps in the Manage users in your payments profile article.
To switch your Ads account to a different payments profile, follow the steps in Change the payment profile associated with your Ads account.

Ads accounts on monthly invoicing
Eligible advertisers can contact us to have a monthly invoicing payments profile created for them. Learn more About monthly invoicing.
All customers on monthly invoicing can re-use the same payments profile across multiple Ads accounts. Several Ads accounts can be added to one payments account, which is referred to as consolidated billing.
If you have Admin or Manage users permission on the payments profile you might be able to edit some of your payments profile information:
- Address or tax ID: To change your profile details like address or tax ID, contact us. You need to have the right access and permissions to request edits.
- Manage users: To add or edit users in your payments profile follow the steps in the Manage payments users in your payments profile article.
To switch your Ads account to a different payments profile, follow the steps in the Make a billing transfer (for monthly invoicing accounts) article.
To change the billing setup of your account (for example, from single to consolidated invoice), follow the steps in the Manage Ads account billing setup from your manager account article.
How your payments profile works with other Google products
Your payments profile isnât limited to just Google Ads. It can also be linked to other Google products, like Cloud or Google Analytics.
If you have an existing payments relationship in a Google Ads account or with another Google product, you may be able to reuse that payments profile. This allows you to easily set up your billing without creating a new payments profile for Google Ads.
