THE BAD NEWS

You have to understand that NO ONE on this earth is good enough to make it into heaven because God demands sinless perfection to even enter into His presence. Every person who has came to the knowledge of sin, has sinned and is already damned by God (Psalms 14:3, Romans 3:12). God says that there is not a single work or thing on this earth you can do to get into his good graces. So you must ask yourself "if I'm a sinner and I'm already headed for Hell how can I please God and get to live eternally with Him in heaven"?


Now to the best news you will ever hear! God gave you and everyone else on this earth the FREE GIFT of eternal life and all you have to do is accept it and believe it by FAITH ALONE.

Well now your asking "What is this Free Gift of eternal life and how to I accept it"?

God sent his Son Jesus Christ (who was God in the flesh) to live a sinless/perfect life on this earth and to give his life and shed his BLOOD on the cross so that me and you can have all of our sins forgiven, and we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven. A free gift requires NO WORKS on your end so no water baptism, no confessing with your mouth, no repeating a prayer, no being a good person, no following the old testament Law, no sacraments, no church traditions, no confessing sins,...or any other work that you think you have to do.

Jesus made it as simple as possible to get saved and following scriptures will make it even clearer.
The full gospel that saves is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV and the word of God says:

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have BELIEVED IN VAIN. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Jesus Christ shed all of his blood for our sins, he died, he was buried and he rose again the 3rd day to save us from an eternity in Hell.

Romans 3:25 says " “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (this means appeasement of Gods wrath) through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”
Hebrews 9:22 " “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

If Jesus did not shed His perfect Blood you and me would never be able to get to heaven but He did shed his Blood for our sins!

So with all of that said salvation is SIMPLE, and accepting the Free Gift of eternal life is simple. Just put your faith ALONE in who Jesus Christ is (he is God), and WHAT Jesus Christ did for you (He shed Blood to wash away all your sins, He died, He was buried and He resurrected on the 3rd day.)

If you have your faith in the fullness of the Gospel that was just proclaimed above you are SAVED and have properly received the Free Gift that God gave to you. Yes it is that simple because Jesus Christ is that merciful to his creation.

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

CLARIFICATION ABOUT REPENTANCE

So what does Biblical Repentance actually mean? Does it mean "to turn from sins? NO!!!
It simply means "A CHANGE OF MIND". When you repent from unbelief to belief you are changing you mind from faith in your own works to ONLY faith in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for you.

Here are some scriptures that prove that God repents many times in the Bible and God cannot sin so in these instances He is changing his mind on something based on what people are doing.

- Jonah 3:10 KJV "And God saw THEIR WORKS, that they turned from their evil way; and God REPENTED OF THE EVIL, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not."

^^^Here God defines "turned from their evil way" as WORKS, so turning from sin is a WORK, and we know salvation is a GIFT of God NOT of works lest any man should boast (Eph. 2:8-9 KJV).

- Jeremiah 18:8 KJV says "If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will REPENT OF THE GOOD, wherewith I said I would benefit them." ^^^ Here God himself "repents" of both good AND evil, so this makes it even clearer that "repent" does not mean to turn from sin, it means for one to change their mind from on thing to something else.
