Is this a bug?

Was it a bug that I wasn't able to use the recordings in the way that I expected to? Like, they didn't create any new dialog options. Did I mess something up?

No, it's not a bug, all the audio recordings do is show you how to use the intercom to get into The Bite, and there aren't any dialogue options.

I have kind of the same question. I explored the alley and found the truck, went in, and listened to the recordings and learned the password answers to certain questions. When I talk to the intercom and get one of the questions that was in the recording, why am I not allowed to give the correct answer? I felt really good about discovering the clue and it did me no good. This seems broken.

I had the same issue, I'm not entirely sure what the problem with that is, I just left the alley and came back and it was fixed. It's probably explainable with not all the possible answers being available.

Okay, so it sounds like it is a bug. I was trying to explain the situation without too many spoilers, but Zorinda's explanation is exactly what happened to me.
