I have unfortunately played this game after playing the first two games. Halfway through the main story I thought to myself "This game isn't specifically bad, I think it gets hate because it is a Bioshock game." how wrong I was. It is true that this game is a disgrace to a "survival-horror" genre with its colourful and shiny world in the air; however, this part isn't the only problem. The combat adopts "realistic" two-gun style with a "wait a little to heal" playstyle with its shield mechanic. The story is straight up bad with numerous plot holes, also Comstock, has literally no weight in the story. For heavens sake, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ metal bird is more prominent in the story. I want to say good things like "It has a good, timeless, artsyle" "Elizabeth is a truly interesting character" "CITC DLC was quite entertaining". But they are all over-shadowed by the obvious "lOoK wE hAvE bRoUgHt ThInGs FrOm ThE fIrSt GaMe" things they have put in the Burial at Sea DLC. First part is just a nothing burger, while the second made wish I had spent my time playing Dead Space 1 or 2 for fourth (another game that has peak games for 1 and 2 but has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the third). I don't want to say much more about this DLC because I believe what people on the internet said about this DLC are mostly true; however, one last thing: even though I have finished the second DLC in the 1998 mode (only stealth so its "hard") The enemy AI is the worst one I have ever seen. I have LITERALLY just made some noise turned invisible and wacked enemies. It didn't matter to other goons I have hit their friends before their eyes, they must have short-term memory loss. Also if you just stand in front of an enemy in front of their path while being invisible, the said enemy just stands there.

Do not buy this game unless it is given for free, or, like me, buy it if its given alongside 1 and 2 remastered in a bundle. By the way I only got all achievements because I was already in too deep after I finished CITC, not because I was entertained.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass game, it's so overrated istg.
