I just got a controller and it's hard.
Anyone find a controller harder to use in Hades II than KB & M?

Any advice? It's a Gamesir Nova 2 Lite.

I've already beaten Chronos and Typhon several times using KB & M.

Don't use the dpad, this is a joystick game where full precise 360 movement is extremely important. And this is coming from somebody who regularly plays all other games on KB&M. Also bind your cast to left trigger so you don't have to hit multiple face buttons at once all the time.

So how do I aim with the stick? There is no cursor. And the right stick isn't doing anything.

If you default the settings you should reenable aim assist (or just enable it yourself). This should help your attacks find the enemy closest to where you are attacking. You want your right hand free to press buttons for attacking/dodging anyways so not using right stick to aim isn't a big issue.

If you are not used to using your thumbs to navigate with sticks this will make things much more intuitive.

By aiming based on the direction she faces alone.

Ok I'll try it later.
Aim assist doesn't work for me. It keeps locking on to things I don't want to hit.

That sounds more like aim assist is working? Pretty sure "locking on" is exactly what it does. You might just need to get used to using facing and positioning to get it to "lock on" to what you want, and in general get used to using a controller with the game in the first place.

Yeah but it locks onto targets I don't want to hit.

Kill those enemies first, You shouldn't be discriminating you should be obliterating.

If Ares could read the forums, he'd agree with this take.
Depends on the weapon I choose.
Frankly, I find mouse+kb MUCH harder for Hades 1&2.
Things are much better now. I can use a controller to beat chronos and typhon much more easily than with KB + Mouse.

But I'm still struggling with 2D games like Dead Cells.

I've played both Hades 1 and Hades 2 on XBOX Elite Series gamepad without any issues (except for skill issues, hehe). But I think if you aren't used to gamepads and don't want to learn playing with them, just stick to KBM? Nothing forces you to play using controllers, I personally gave up playing Dark Souls and God of Wars with controllers and just played them with KBM and was happy doing it x)
I've gotten used to the controller now. And it's so much better.

Although aiming the cast with certain boons can be slow and iffy. So I just avoid that. Never like to aim the cast anyway.
