Anyone read the History of Magic in North America?

So, I just read the 4th and final post from Jk on the history of magic in North America. I found it fascinating all week when I discovered this series Tuesday afternoon, so I read them, and I was floored by JK's writing. Then, she released her final writing and, can I just say? unhappy faces all around?
Rowling makes American witches and wizards sound like we're drunk losers with wands powered by monsters. Even the president Piquery carries a wand which draws evil magic to it like vampires draw blood. WTH???? Am I envisioning a nightmare or did JK really write that?!?! Need thoughts on this pronto, please guys.
