2 Timothy 3:7
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

MyThoughts:
I believe some people can learn the bible inside out, memorizing ever scripture until they know it like the back of their hand.... and still not know the Lord. They can speak ancient languages, learn histories, theologies, philosophies, religions... and still never know God. Their search for truth leads them in endless circles of debate. They can only see the natural and are unable to see the spiritual behind the natural. God is spirit. The only way one can ever know him is by his Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost. How can a person know God if they can't accept the spiritual? What does faith in earthly knowledge profit a person? In the end it will pass away. Faith in religious knowledge only puffeth up. Again, what good is it? Only by knowing Him can one truly live. Only living by the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of His word, revealed as we have communion with his Spirit, can we begin to understand His truth. And in that understanding we begin to understand ourselves. We're given fruitful purpose, vision, direction, protection, favor, mercy, peace, grace, strength, freedom.... Every good thing comes from the Lord, and all things work together for the good of them that love Him. For these things are birthed out of relationship. But there can be no relationship without knowledge, no wisdom without trust, and no understanding without faith. It is impossible to please the Lord without faith. And it isn't that those who don't know Him have no faith.... it's that their faith is misplaced. If they can't understand things perfectly, logically, their way... then they can't accept it. But God doesn't want your perfection, he wants your surrender.

Precious Jesus, lead the unrepentant to repentance. Help those that are truly seeking you to find you. Draw them nigh unto you that they might be saved and come into understanding of your love. Help those with misplaced faith to place they're faith in you. Bring them to the understanding of the truth of your Spirit. For in the end, your truth will be the only truth that matters. Deliver them from the spirit of unbelief, from unforgiveness, the critical spirit, and that evil, controlling spirit of religion. You are God, sovereign and all powerful. There is none above you. None like you. I adore you Lord, and I ask this in your mighty name. I ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
