It time is 22:45. For some reason, my steps toward the station are light, and I get on the 22:53 train.
I went to a nearby bar that I had been interested in for a long time, but the air conditioner stopped and the bar closed. I had no choice but to go to Starbucks and sip my usual hot Yuzu Citrus tea when an idea came to me. I want to go to Shinanomachi from now on.
I wanted to think in my head by myself, but Starbucks was until 23:00, so I was wondering what to do. For me, who usually thinks the most when I'm taking a walk or on the train, this is the best solution.
The Sobu line is rattling. Lost in thought alone. And so to the destination, Shinanomachi.
In Shinanomachi, an indescribable smell fills the air from the moment you step on the platform. The smell when I used to work part-time at a nearby beer garden. The smell of sweat, oil, alcohol and moisture mixed together. It doesn't smell good at all, but it makes me feel nostalgic.
Then, I passed my old part-time job, crossed in front of the empty Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, and occasionally ran side by side with runners until I arrived at Meiji Jingu Shrine.
Since the outer circumference seemed to be walkable, I tried to enter from the light stand side. At first, the streetlights were shining brightly and I wasn't scared at all, but the last straight 200m was dark and I was walking without any guarantee that I would be able to get out first, so I was a little scared. Looking back, I don't know what I was afraid of. Finally, I went out from around the first base bench. And when I feel like I've walked enough, I start heading home.
With the New National Stadium side-by-side, I returned to the station while walking through the resting spots of the taxi drivers. Push the button at the push-button signal at night and wait. However, there is no sign of change at all. The numbness wears off and I start walking. Waiting for the signal again in front of Keio Medical College. Cross the traffic light with a couple from medical school.
In the train on the way home. I'm still thinking about it here. In front of me, two men with three huge carrying cases alternately sit and stand on chairs. Even though the seats were relatively empty, neither of them sat down. When I was observing such two people sideways, I arrived at once.
The usual station, the usual ticket gate, the usual town. When I was walking on the way to my house as usual, someone called out to me, "Onee-san, onee-san." Completely ignored because it is troublesome. However, I could be seen walking slightly behind me, so I turned around at the signal. There may be times, but I felt most scared on this road that I always walk on.
By the time I got home, I was really tired from walking and was on the verge of exhaustion. I'll sleep well. Good job.
