Making Room for Yourself
I used to think the best way to spend my time was to avoid wasting it.
I would decide what I needed to do and fill every single moment—even my free time.
It made me feel like I was living the "right" way.
But I couldn't keep that up for very long.
Whenever my plans fell apart, I would lose all my motivation.
So, little by little, I started doing less.
That gave me more free time in my day.
At first, having nothing planned felt a little uncomfortable.
But having time with no obligations gave me room to breathe.
I'm not doing anything special.
I'm simply trying not to pack too much into my days.
Somehow, that feels like a more natural way to find balance in my life.
Take a moment to look at your own day.
Is there a part of your day when you could make a little more room?
If you could make just one thing a little lighter, what would it be?
