Where I Spend, and Where I Don't
My way of thinking about spending money on beauty has changed a little.
I used to think it was better to do everything myself whenever I could.
I believed that if I spent enough time, I could get better results.
But over time, I started to separate what's worth paying for from what I can do myself.
I have two simple standards.
First, can I keep doing it?
Second, can I do it well by myself?
For example, I go to a nail salon now.
I thought about doing my nails myself, but when I considered the quality, how long they last, and the time it takes,
I realized it's easier to let a professional do them.
On the other hand, I keep my skincare routine as simple as possible.
I don't spend too much time on it, and I choose a routine that I can stick with every day.
Instead of trying to do everything perfectly, I choose what works best for me.
It feels less like giving up and more like making choices that I can keep making.
And I think that's what helps me take good care of myself without pushing too hard.
