Every night, a little boat drifted across a silent lake.

As it moved through the darkness, stars rose gently from its hull and floated into the waiting sky.

They twirled like silver lanterns and settled among the constellations, filling the night with quiet light.

When dawn arrived, the boat returned.

One by one, it gathered the weary stars and carried them home to rest among the reeds until evening came again.

But there was one small star that never returned with the others.

Each morning, it slipped away beyond the mountains.

No one knew where it went.
