ねこと暮らせば ネコと水鉄砲 熱き戦い
猫と暮らせばシリーズは 読み切り 順不同です。
Yちゃんは ”みぃこ”という真っ白なネコと暮らしている。
しっぽの先に黒いワンポイントのある、可愛い娘なのだ。
”みぃこ” を狙って、近所のドラネコ “ゴンゾー” がちょっかいを出しに来る。
チャトラのオス、がっちりした体格のふてぶてしいヤツだ。
「コラーッ」
どなっても、逃げようともしない。
庭の小石を拾って投げてみる。
当てる気もないが、その気になっても当たりゃしない。
”ゴンゾー” ちょいと逃げるフリをするだけで、遠くからバカにしたように見ている。
「ハァハァ、あんニャローめ」
息を切らしながら、小石を拾い集める羽目になる…のだった。
そんな日が続き、うんざりしたある夏の日、ふと思いついた。
「そうだ！ アレだ。アレなら弾もいらない」
さっそく、おもちゃ屋さんに出かけた。
買ってきたのは水鉄砲。
たっぷり水をつめて、ためし撃ち、庭先をあちこち狙ってみる。
射程距離３メーター、なかなかの精度である。
さて、後は待つだけ。
そんな秘密兵器があるとも知らぬ “ゴンゾー”は、今日も のこのことやって来た。
窓をそっと開け狙い定めて発射！ みごと、おしりに命中。
びっくり仰天した”ゴンゾー” 一目散に逃げ出した。
「やったぁ！」大喜びするＹちゃん。
それでも、”ゴンゾー”は こりずにやってくる。
Ｙちゃんも応戦する。
「熱い戦い」は、今日も続いている。

ゴンゾーは ほんとは サバトラ模様だった。
でも ふてぶてしいイラストが 茶トラしかなかった。
我が家の可愛い坊や れお君が茶トラなので 茶トラにはしたくなかったが
仕方なく…
「ぼく あんな憎たらしくないよ！」 と れお君から 抗議の声
許せ ！ AIでイラストが描けない お母さんがわるいのだ。🥲

The Living with Cats series consists of standalone stories and can be read in any order.
Y-chan lives with a pure white cat named "Miiko."
She is a cute girl with a single black spot at the tip of her tail.
A neighborhood stray cat named "Gonzo" comes around to pester "Miiko."
He is a sturdy, brazen ginger tabby male.
"Hey!"
Even when I yell at him, he doesn't even try to run away.
I try picking up small pebbles from the garden and throwing them.
I don't intend to hit him, but even if I did, I wouldn't be able to.
"Gonzo" just pretends to run away a little, then watches from afar as if mocking me.
Huff, huff, that little rascal."
I end up having to pick up the pebbles while catching my breath...
After days like that continued, on one sweltering summer day, I suddenly had an idea.
"That's it! That thing. With that, I won't even need ammo."
I immediately headed to the toy store.
What I bought was a water gun.
I filled it with plenty of water, did a test shot, and aimed at various spots in the garden.
It has a range of three meters and pretty good accuracy.
Now, all that's left is to wait.
"Gonzo," unaware that I have such a secret weapon, came strolling along again today.
I quietly opened the window, took aim, and fired! It was a perfect hit on his rear.
"Gonzo" was completely shocked and ran away at full speed.
"I did it!" Y-chan cheered with joy.
Even so, "Gonzo" keeps coming back without learning his lesson.
Y-chan fights back, too.
The "fierce battle" continues again today.
Author's Afterword
Gonzo was actually a mackerel tabby.
But the only brazen-looking illustration available was a ginger tabby.
My cute little boy, Leo-kun, is a ginger tabby, so I didn't want to make him a ginger tabby, but
I had no choice...
"I'm not that hateful!" came a protest from Leo-kun.
Forgive me! It's my fault as a mother who can't draw illustrations with AI. 🥲
