 A Gravely Ill Society

The Threat of "Hollow Djidjiylization Syndrome," a Strange Disease Eroding the Archipelago. Who is to Blame for the Nation's Total "Enfeeblement"?
A strange disease is rampant in modern society. Its name is "Hollow Djidjiylization Syndrome." Once infected, people lose their ability to think, fear challenges, and become unable to endure even the slightest stimuli, degenerating into what can only be called "ancient, coconut-headed, physically weak djidjiy." This paper has investigated the true nature of this strange disease and the structure of the festering core squirming behind it.
The Pathogen: A Toxic Substance Known as "Ancient Djidjiy-type Thinking".
The root of the illness lies in an extremely authoritarian and destructive mode of thought called "ancient djidjiy-type thinking." Its essence is simple and clear: "Eliminate anything even slightly inconvenient; remove anything even slightly disliked." That is all. It prioritizes outdated customs over scientific rationality, and the whims of authority over an individual's independent judgment. Like a scepter wielded by some decrepit aristocrat of old, solely to protect his own authority, this thinking is unthinkingly abused in every facet of society.
What this thinking has produced are the giant daruma dolls of garbage known as "djidjiy regulations," which sit enthroned in all corners of society. They have absolutely no social, economic, or logical value. They are merely garbage, forced upon society by the powerful abusing money and authority, solely to maintain their own vested interests and power. Astonishingly, many people accept these daruma, solidified with this toxic substance, as if they were some kind of benevolent guardian deity.
Transmission Routes: Silver Democracy and Aseptic Child-rearing.
So, how did this disease spread throughout society? Experts point to two primary routes of infection.
One is the structure of "vested interests" that causes political and economic sclerosis. Under "Silver Democracy," born from a declining birthrate and aging population, politicians prioritize the interests of the elderly generation, seeking immediate votes over investment in the future. As a result, outdated industries and inefficient systems are excessively protected by "djidjiy regulations," bringing economic metabolism to a complete halt. This is "ancient djidjiy-type thinking"—hating change and clinging to the existing order—materialized as national policy. The budding ambitions of any young person who tries to take on a challenge are systematically crushed beneath these garbage daruma.
The other, more serious, route of infection is the "family." It is no exaggeration to say that modern child-rearing, in particular, is completely contaminated with this toxic substance.
Chanting "it's even slightly bad for their education" or "it's a little too stimulating," parents shield their children from all risks. The pain of falling, the unfairness of being scolded, the discomfort of clashing opinions. What happens to children when all these "burdens," essential for growth, are removed? The result is tragic. They are "aseptically cultured" into extremely ignorant and feeble adults who lack immunity to mental and physical pain and can barely distinguish right from wrong. Robbed of the opportunity to develop what psychologists call "resilience" (mental fortitude), they cannot withstand the harsh waves of society and easily fall into a state of suspended thought.
Terminal Symptoms: The "Sclerosis" and "Fragilization" of Society as a Whole.
These two infection routes create a diabolical synergy.
The social system becomes "sclerotic" with vested interests, while the individuals who comprise it are made "fragile" by overprotection. A fragile generation, raised to fear failure, has no desire to demand reform of the sclerotic system. On the contrary, they even support djidjiy regulations in pursuit of ever-greater "safety." The intolerant atmosphere, where any disagreeable opinion is immediately condemned and eliminated as "evil," is proof positive that "ancient djidjiy-type thinking" has taken root in society.
The old generation laments the younger generation's lack of ambition, while the new generation, unable to find hope in the future, turns inward. Yet both are oblivious to the fact that the cause lies in the sclerotic society and overprotective environment they themselves have created. It is this very obliviousness that makes the disease all the more severe.
     Is There a Prescription?
Is "Hollow Djidjiylization Syndrome" an incurable disease that will cause society as a whole to lose its vitality and future?
Experts say that painful reforms and a change in consciousness are the only prescription. This means dynamiting the djidjiy regulations that only increase the burden on future generations, and rebuilding a fluid society where challenges are rewarded. Above all, it means having the courage, in homes and schools, to trust children and send them out to have risky experiences. The experience of tolerating failure and confronting difficulties is the most powerful vaccine against this disease.
If the final outcome of pursuing easy "safety" and short-term "stability" is the total "enfeeblement" of the nation, then it is no longer even a comedy. So, esteemed readers, standing before this giant daruma doll of garbage, do you intend to continue reading the room and suspending your thoughts today as well?
