KARIMOKU COMMONS KYOTO
このプロジェクトが はじまる前から、カリモクコモンズ京都は 私にとって よく知っている場所でした。 KYOTOGRAPHIE（京都国際写真祭）のイベント「KG+」から、ショールームでの グループ展について 連絡をもらったとき、私は ちょうど2週間前に 京都のスペースへ 行ったばかりでした。そして その2日前には カリモクコモンズ東京へも行き、辰野しずかさんの 素晴らしい展示を 見たところでした。カリモクコモンズ京都で 自分の作品を 展示できることは、奇跡のように 感じました。
Karimoku Commons Kyoto was already a familiar place to me before this project started. When KG+, the satellite event of KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, reached out about a collaboration with Karimoku for a group show inside the showroom, I had visited the Kyoto space just two weeks earlier, and Karimoku Commons Tokyo two days before that, where I saw a wonderful exhibition by Shizuka Tatsuno. Being asked to show my own work at Karimoku Commons Kyoto felt like a miracle.

このアニメーションは、デザイナーの モリッツ・シュラッターがデザインした「カリモク ニュースタンダード (KNS)」の 家具コレクションから アイデアをもらいました。
The animation was inspired by designer Moritz Schlatter's furniture collection for Karimoku New Standard (KNS).
私の考えは、コレクションに すでにある形を使って、それらが動き出したときに どうなるかを 見てみることでした。
My idea was to take shapes that already exist in the collection and see how they behave once they start to move.
展示「Commons Lounge ー 木 めぐる 写真」は、6人のアーティストの 写真を集めたものです。それぞれの写真は、カリモクの家具と 同じ木材で 作られた 特別なフレームに 飾られていました。 私は、カリモクの デザインに 直接合わせて 作品を作りたいと 考えました。その結果できたのが、「KNS Forms in Motion」という コマ撮り（ストップモーション）アニメーションです。
The show itself, 「Commons Lounge ー 木 めぐる 写真」, brought together photography by 6 artists, each shown in a custom frame made from the same wood used in Karimoku's furniture. I wanted to work directly with Karimoku's own design language, and the result was a stop-motion animation called "KNS Forms in Motion”.
