KIKOF | OFS Tokyo
Inspired by folded paper, resulting in clean lines and a soft, structured form. Crafted using traditional techniques and materials from the Lake Biwa region, the brand blends heritage craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic. Established in 2014 by design studio KIGI in collaboration with local artisans, KIKOF was launched as part of the OFS project.
When I heard it, the animation idea came to me instantly. I drew unfolded mock-ups for Tokkuri and Choko V and animated the folding paper.
behind the scenes

This piece was one of four brand collaboration videos shown in my solo exhibition "MY FAVORITE PRODUCT DESIGN," held at FabCafe Kyoto (MTRL KYOTO) from June 24 to July 12, 2025. The other three were collaborations with PAPIER LABO., KOKUYO "THINK OF THINGS," and MIDORI "MD PAPER."
The exhibition featured product animations I've made over the years, along with the background of each project.
