ながめたが「齋藤史歌集 記憶の茂み」ｼﾞｪｲﾑｽﾞ・ｶｰｶｯﾌﾟ、玉城周（選歌・英訳）2002
勿論、となりましょうか。
この本に門前払いされました。
（私が、「日本人もどき」なのがバレましたね。）
そしたら、一昨日きやがれっ！
てなことになりますが、別の門の予定もございまして。
ほんと現代短歌されている方は凄いですね。
現代俳句の方も。
素人では、字面を追っても、言葉が入ってこない。
しかし、短歌や俳句を入門から始めている時間もありません。
（好きじゃないのかも、基礎勉強も。）
作品と、その作者の伝記的なもので、
ようやっと門からでも覗けそうなもんですが。
適当な伝記ものありませんかね。
歌人・齋藤史（1909/ 2/14 - 2002/ 4/26）
父は、斎藤瀏（1879/ 4/16 - 1953/ 7/ 5）
二・二六事件で反乱軍を援助し、投獄される。
歌人としては、佐々木信綱に師事。
この本は、見開きの右側に、齋藤史さんの歌。
左側に英訳されたもの。
初読でひっかかったものだけ、転記。少ないかと。
咲きあふれこぼるるときに容赦なく花はおのれを崩し終りぬ
Overwhelmingly
in full blossom, the time now
comes to spill, without
mercy, flowers that at once
begin their self-destruction
我に似るな似るなと描く作中の女うつくしき不義の笑顔す
I keep on telling.
a woman I am panting.
"Don't recemble me -
Don't recemble -" She gives that
beautiful immoral smile.
孤独なる野鳥ねむれり背の上に未明の雪のそそぎたるまま
Solitary - wild
bird keeps sleeping, on its back
still a sprinkling of
snowflakes that had fallen in
the grey light of early morn.
死者たちの弾く楽音を聴くとして蜻蛉（あきつ）は石に身を寄せゐたり
Wanting to listen
to the sounds of a music
played by the dead, one
dragonfly is hovering
ever closer to the stones.
櫻桃の赤らみそむる可愛くて醜（しこ）のむくどり食はずに居れぬ
The cherries looks so
lovely as they bigin to
turn red, So ugly
starlings are just unable
to stop themselves picking them.
水滴よりつめたく断を下すものわれの背筋に添ひて流れつ
Colder than drops of
cold water, the decision
that must now be made
bigins running all the way
down the channel of my spice.
したたかの寒さの中ぞしたたかなる生き物の顔となりて生くべき
I could not go on
enduring this fierce cold, so
I had to transform
my face to that of a fierce
beast in order to servise.
身体障害者二人を抱へ生きゆくと 縄の梯子が揺れやまぬなり
As my life is spent
bearing two physically
handicapped persons
in my arms, the rope ladder
keeps on forever swaying.
颱風の眼という空の穴あきてはるか遠くより見られつつ居る
In the sky, a hole
is opening - it is cold
#eye of the typhoon".
- I keep on being observed
from a great observed
from a great height overhead.
死せしことまだ無き君ら我に向き強制す＜幸せなら手をたたこう＞
You, the young one, who
have never known death, keep on
looking at me, and
endlessly ordering me;
"If you're happy, clap your hands!"
遠からず逢ふらむことをかぞふれば生よりも死の仕度が多し
As I reckon I
may soon be meetingthem in
worlds beyoud, I
need more preparation
for death than fpr life itself.
呼びとめて振りむく顔は父ならぬ夫ならぬ前世（さきのよ）の一人の誰か
After I colled out,
a face looked back at me - not
my father's and not
my husband's. - Who could it be.
that person from a previous life?
ぬくぬくとわが中に在る胃や肝の光あたらぬ七十五年
Warm and snug inside
my body - stomach, liver -
though they have never
received the radiance of day
all these seventy-five years.
脱出の必ず成ると信じつつ土の七年蝉は生きゐつ
With the confidence
they will be resurrected
from earth without fail,
the cicadas keep living
for seven years under the ground.
往復の切符を買へば途中にて死なぬ気のすることのふしぎさ
How curious it is -
whenever I buy tickets
for a return trip,
it gives me a feeling that
I shall not die on the way.
髪黒く染めずなりたる頃よりか秋の風景に溶けはじめたる
Ever since the time
I stoppeddyeing my hair black
I feel that I am
beginning to blend into
the scenery of autumn.
