“Voyage of the Soul: The Path to Circumnavigation”

    1.My Desire for a Round-the-World Trip

When I was in middle school, I somehow came across the idea of a round-the-world trip, and from then on, a faint dream of “someday, I want to travel around the world” began to grow. This feeling has sometimes been a big support for me, like a light that illuminated me when I faced difficult or sad moments.

    2. Heading to the Nagoya Peace Boat Center (Pee-sen)

After going through high school and vocational school, I started working, but soon after, I felt like quitting just three days in. Following my instincts, I went to the Peace Boat Center (Pee-sen). As soon as I arrived, I wrote down the year I planned to board the ship on a form. I wasn’t fully prepared yet, but I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness at the speed of this new adventure. This became my first step toward the “round-the-world” journey.

    3. Posting Posters and the Discount on the Ship Fare

To prepare for the world trip, I walked around to put up posters. I decided to enter any place with a door, no matter where it was, and sometimes walked until late at night. I even made it all the way down to Yoron Island in the south. Slowly but surely, my efforts paid off, and the ship fare eventually became fully discounted (free). I still remember many unforgettable encounters with people along the way.
(The system was that for every poster I put up about the world trip, my ship fare would be discounted.)

    4. Connections with Amami Oshima and Various Regions

I moved from Nagoya to Amami Oshima, and the Peace Boat Center was also relocated to Fukuoka. I continued to post posters quietly by myself in the Amami Islands. At times, I appeared on the radio or walked around the island drinking Miki (a local drink), enjoying the warmth of the people and their food, and sharing many heartwarming moments.
Once, I was introduced to the WWOOF program and went to Kakara Island. Living there was an important time for me to reset and start anew.
While living in Hakata, I traveled to Fukuoka and Oita, enjoying the energy of each place.
Recently, I visited Itoshima, where a goddess festival was held, and I experienced a wonderful series of encounters that resonated deeply with my soul.
During the poster posting, I would often find myself returning to places I thought were special, sometimes staying for a while, and the connections I made back then are now intertwined with where I am today.

    5. My Longing for the Southern Hemisphere and Departure of the “Maho Ship”

I had longed to sail to the Southern Hemisphere, and in 2017 or 2018, I applied for that route. However, due to my slow poster posting progress, the actual departure was postponed, and I later received the news that the ship could not depart due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“If the ship won’t sail, I’ll set sail myself!” I thought, and that’s when the “Van Life Round Japan” journey began.

    6. The Purpose of the Van Life Round Japan

The purpose of my van life was to connect Amami, which I had always dreamed of, to Ainu Hemiki and to establish pillars of light in various places. I also followed the guidance of the vertical words “Sound, Words, Soul” that appeared in a dream.
Through visualizing, I obtained a van suitable for the journey, and with the guidance of Miki, I continued on my path.
Through this journey, I experienced returning to my true soul and radiating harmonized vibrations, and I felt that if each person in Japan shines as their true self, the country will transform into a golden dragon.

    7. The Resumption of the Ship and My Decision to Board

When I heard that the ship was resuming its voyages, I initially felt that it might be dangerous to board immediately for my safety and comfort. I even considered waiting for at least five years before making my decision. But suddenly, at the beginning of 2025, I was swept into the flow of adventure, and my soul began to move again with the winds of travel.
I’ve been rushing through festivals and events all over Japan, and even stayed on Hawaii Island in Hilo…
This flow led me to think, “Let’s go for the world trip from this winter.”

    To be continued…
