🌐Songs to listen to on a rainy day. Youmou to Ohana's "Aini Yukou" | Factoring the Heart
This is the English version of the original Japanese essay.
Original Japanese version available here.
A green beaded ring I wear on rainy days
I make a small adjustment on rainy days.
When rain falls from the sky, my stomach feels heavy and my mood turns gloomy. On such days, I wear a clear green beaded ring. The sharp, bright color helps lift the heaviness in my stomach.
Today, I was putting together notes for a visit to a mental health professional, and thinking about that task, I wanted to stay in as natural a mood as possible.
Green, the same color as nature. Thanks to that, I finished writing without any hitches.
The song I wanted to hear in the rain was "Aini Yukou"
Rain. It looks like it will keep falling for a while.
I thought I'd like to listen to something when I get home on a day like this. This morning, I was listening to Les Frères' boogie-woogie. Right now, at this moment, I want to listen to music with lyrics. I was thinking about that while walking around.
Then it hit me. What I want to listen to on a day like this is,
Youmou to Ohana's "Aini Yukou"
That's right. I'll go with that song.
When I hear them sing "Let's go meet," just like the green ring, my heart turns a "natural" color.
"Because there was a yesterday where I fell, I can dream of a tomorrow I haven't seen yet."
That is how Chiba-san sings it.
Sadly, "Youmou to Ohana" is no longer active following Hana Chiba's passing.
I think they are the kind of artists who help you when you are trying to plant your feet in the real world and move on to the next step.
My daily life, built on the things I love, has returned.
I love this song.
I have for a long time.
I am happy that the feeling of loving it has become natural.
I think things like that will continue to increase from now on.
The daily life made up of the things I "like," which I had forgotten, is coming back.
And then, solo karaoke.
And there are always parts of this song that I can't quite catch, and I've wondered what they are saying.
So, I tried looking it up online, but nothing came up.
That's why I went to "solo karaoke."
I spent almost an hour singing this song, focusing on the parts where I couldn't tell what they were saying about going to meet someone, and taking notes.
Even setting aside the parts I couldn't hear, I thought it was great that they were singing, "I'll go to meet the place where I live."
The lyrics I wanted to know most this time were the final part.
"I'll go to meet you I laughed and cried and waved my hand I can hear the lovely bustle, to the place where I live"
To the place where I live.
