What does it mean to forgive?
When I was a child
For example
Thinking that this person is human too
And has their own shortcomings
That kind of feeling
Was what it was
Now
Not as simply as before
I have come to think
To forgive is
Perhaps to acknowledge weakness
And how
To deal with that
All I can do is
when I am
told that "you are wrong"
if there is something I want to say
the things I must explain
if there is something I want to say
the things I must talk back with
that kind of feeling
to continue that
that is all
what forgiveness is
does it follow after that?
