Launching an Asia-Focused Coffee Media Project —

    ・World of Coffee

    English Version

This platform is a bilingual media project dedicated to exploring specialty coffee in Asia, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia. While many coffee publications concentrate on established markets in Europe or North America, we believe the next major wave of growth and innovation is happening across Asian producing and consuming countries.

From Thailand and Vietnam to Indonesia and beyond, the region is rapidly evolving — not only as a production origin, but also as a sophisticated consumer market. The decision to host World of Coffee in Bangkok reflects this shift. We see this moment as an inflection point for Asian specialty coffee.

Our approach is data-driven and market-oriented.

Rather than focusing solely on tasting impressions, we aim to document:

    • Brew recipes and extraction data (including TDS where possible)

    • Roast style analysis and positioning

    • Pricing structures and commercial viability

    • Brand differentiation strategies

    • Emerging consumer trends in Asia

With a background in IT and project management, we approach coffee with a systems mindset — analyzing structure, consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability. We are interested not only in flavor, but also in business models, supply stability, and cross-border opportunities.

In the coming months, this platform will publish:

    • Reports from international coffee events

    • Interviews with Asian roasters and producers

    • Data-backed brewing experiments

    • Market insights relevant to the Japanese audience

Our long-term vision is to become a bridge between Japan and the broader Asian specialty coffee community. We are particularly interested in small, quality-focused roasters and producers who are open to storytelling, transparency, and potential collaboration in the future.

If you are a roaster, producer, importer, or industry professional interested in connecting with the Japanese market, we would be happy to stay in touch.

We welcome interviews, conversations, and future collaboration opportunities.
