    (English follows)

For fulfilling life ~ Expressing emotions Ⅱ (1)

    How to process negative emotions

In the earlier section on emotional expression (1)–(3), I mentioned that people who can express their feelings more freely tend to experience higher levels of well‑being.
So then, how can I express negative emotions—such as sadness, pain, or envy (but not anger, in this context)—in a healthy way?
I believe there are four possible approaches:
1; Expressing them in words — speaking to yourself in the mirror, or talking with a counselor.
2; Expressing them in writing — such as keeping a journal.
3; Sharing a little with someone you trust — not everything, just a small part.
4; Embracing the body’s natural responses — like tears, or other physical signs of emotion.
