🇬🇧 Episode 4: United Kingdom — I Fell in Love with the Scent of Tea, Not Big Ben

When I opened my eyes, I saw stone buildings and a cloudy sky. I was in London.

The red buses, black taxis, and golden clock tower — the colors were subdued, yet the city seemed to wear a quiet pride, like someone confident without needing to say a word.

Big Ben chimed in the distance, but my heart was stolen by something else entirely.

A small tearoom down an alley. The open door let out a soft, sweet aroma of tea. Freshly baked scones and clotted cream. In that moment, I fell in love — not with Big Ben, but with that scent.

In the back of the shop, a white-haired gentleman sat alone. Noticing me, he motioned silently for me to take the seat across from him.

We didn’t exchange words. We simply drank tea. An afternoon where time seemed to pause. The silence melted into the air — strangely comforting.

“In England,” he finally said with a smile,
“what matters more than words... is the space between them.”
